I have been asked to leave the Warrior Forum

It's me that is asking

I Ask, should I stay or go???

was looking through some posts and see that I have the last reply on some posts.

- So, I am thinking..maybe I am not helping.

- And, I see so many Views, and much less Reply's

- With new Ownership - are they improving "the experience" of this forum, creating "value", or just looking to sell me.

- Should I not think some people that lurk are being too passive?

- I have always viewed this as a social place, a work "watercooler", talk shop experience

- can it become something better? new and improved?? re-gain it's Alexa rankings???

so I ask myself, If I can't contribute (and how) should I go.

Kirby, please don't leave. Your posts add value. I get what you mean about the semi ghost town this place is lately, but I for on would appreciate it if you continue to contribute.

The new owners will take the WF in direction they want to go - as they should.

Each of us is free to stay or leave - post or not - as we please. This is a public forum - not a private or exclusive membership.

        should I stay or go
I don't see why it has to be one or the other. Why not take a month off and when you come back you might have a different view of things. You can't force change on a site you don't own - you can't make others do what you want them to do. You only control yourself. Sometimes all you need is a break.

The question is "Do you enjoy giving advice and learning from others?

My posts also sometimes end threads...here and in the Off Topic Forum. I tend to think it's because, once you leave a definitive answer...most tend to leave it at that.

It could also be that I have Cooties. No idea.

If you want to stay, I think you add value. If you don't want to stay, happy trails to you.

Not sure why it has to be an all or nothing proposition. I visit, but not as much. Not much going on here but it still has potential so I visit to see what's going on. If nothing, I move on. If something interests me, I'll jump in. Don't see why anyone would feel compelled to leave permanently.

I've experienced the same thing. When your reply is the last one and the topic then falls silent you begin to wonder if some just don't care or only care about responses that fit in with their expectations.

I've felt the same way a few times. I even went back and deleted a couple posts because I thought maybe I'd said something wrong or offensive.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way sometimes.

I find it rather odd that someone who's been thanked over 300 times should be asked to leave if this is truly a public forum.

    • I need to find some ways to add more value and be invigorated with threads.

That's why I like sales and marketing - never boring!

It takes time, effort, and hard to write
(never been into writing and a "content provider")

maybe stay away from the Mind Warrior forum - my age comes through, as in sarcasm and "get real, not what you read in a book!"

JasonKanigan called me out once (in a good way),

about not understanding what I was writing.

      where is Jason anyway???

I have to stay away from there completely. I just edited this post, to be more acceptable. They simply do not think in the same way I do, and I can't read any of the posts without rolling my eyes. The copywriting forum probably has the best posts. But I'm not really a copywriter, and can't contribute much. There are some very insightful people there.

In the Offline Forum, occasionally, I'll write a post that I think completely answers a question the OP asks. Sometimes I read a post from someone else that is so well written, that I can't add anything worthwhile. I think that really is usually the answer.

In the Off Topic Forum, Threads just run out of steam. The purpose of those threads isn't learning, just dinner conversation.

Alexa in itself isn't a big deal, but it is certainly alarming with a mixture of other things.

I understand your frustration and have thought the same, about whether I should leave or go. I definitely haven't been as active lately, I used to be twice as busy and twice as active on this forum.

I think a few of us could probably reinvigorate the forum. The only question is, do we care enough to? lol. That shouldn't be our problem when a publicly traded company owns WF now.

I stay away from that section most of the time - and I do think age (and life experience) provides a different and less tolerant view of some of the stuff there.

Provide help where you can and don't worry if you are "last one to post" - someone has to do it.

Stay. You'll never really know how many just read and how many you help or inspire.

WF numbers down, IMO, because with the economies up in many geographic areas,
more people are just working and not looking to become self-employed.

Additionally, a ton of marketing teachers (hate the word guru) have their own tribes
for niches, micro-niches, verticals, spaces - whatever you want to call it.

And, maybe a lot of people are working their businesses. Hmmm. Maybe
there should be more threads about taking your business from 5 or 6 figures
to 6 or 7? (Interesting to know demographics on that.)

Oooh, and let me the thread ender. Just cause I have Cooties, or I came to the
thread too late and it's all been said, or cause I said the definitive things and
    cannot be topped. LOL

Even if they work things out and activity picks back up, I'm surprised, almost shocked nobody has tried to capitalize on the ownership change by starting their own forum. Even with mediocre success, it should bring a nice profit. If nobody does it soon I may have to seriously consider.

I've disappeared a month or two at a time before. Not that anyone missed me or went bankrupt without my opinion, but as I become a better Christian I certainly try to help where I can. The amount of ideas and fine tuning of ideas I get from this forum far outweigh any good that I could do in return. Still I have stuck up for people and affected lives in a positive manner for the most part I believe, thus I will, personally continue to visit.

I hope my meanderings have helped you.

It's up to you man, only you can tell if this place has any value for you or others. Is the success of the Warrior Forum down to whether you are here or not? No, it is not - there is value here if you look for it, maybe not in the main posting feed, but the archives and other places contain some golden nuggets. The genuine seeker of information can find it if they look - and it is not down to individual egos, give it a break for a few months and come back to check.

    • My hope is WF "evolves",

but company takeovers, in my experience, don't benefit current clientele (members).

As iAmNameless states it, and what I think is in the works, is that someone is working on it already.

If you ever noticed, competition comes from within. Always has.

I just come here to learn and try to contribute and do not see why numbers should change my doing that for as long as I can. Besides being helpful, in trying to contribute I feel as if I am sharpening my saw for my own use.
