Getting free Press to create authority!

Hey everyone!!

I'm brand spanking new here and I was checking out all the threads.... looks like not too many online marketers are interested in offline media and press. I am also new to online marketing... I just put out my first product.

Does authority online not matter as much as the offline world?

I guess the fluff and hype of expert status is not as relevant perhaps?

What about the media logos.. "as seen on".... "as featured in"..

Reason I am asking is my entire business revolves around showing entrepreneurs and business owners how to get free press and leverage it...and I"m just curious to know if there is demand for this in the online space.

Any feedback would be awesome!!

    I would say that having an online presence is pretty important, and let me tell you why. I own two offline businesses myself, and, in the very first year of starting, I probably made more revenue than some people who have been in the business for years. Why?

    Well, People would call me or fill out our contact form simply because our website represented us JUST how I wanted to be represented. We didn't look like just ANYBODY. In fact, when we were ranking 3rd on Google, we probably still got as much (or more) business as the guy in first because our Core Values were aligned with what people were looking for.

    The image for our logo was very well thought out, as was the corporate feel we elicit for a small, family owned business.



    It's all about first impressions!
