I used Natasha Nixon in the past for some sites in my network. Natasha Nixon

Nothing magical, but at least they're native English speakers.

      Define 'good.'

Is it someone who's going to write you content that people get so excited about that they email the link to the content to their friends or tweet about? Or is it someone who can spell and respect basic English grammar?

This should really go in the WFH section and be a paid ad.

I write, but most people and their projects are not a fit on Budget.

As DABK said, define your terms. Please.

I agree with the others. If you can specify your needs more precisely, there may be some amongst us who may be able to help. I know I have a ton of work on right ow but I always keep options open.

Craigslist! Ran an ad had great people respond including several reporters from the local papers. I pay $40 +\- per page. My writer does everything over the phone and face to face. I give her the main topics to cover and major points.

Hire 5 people off Elance for one article each. Pick up the best one or two and hire them for the rest. That's how I usually do for all low priced jobs.

I really like what Jason and DABK said.

As a writer and a business person my observation has been that if there was ever a field with a wide variance it is writing.

    What Are You Looking For?

Case in point, a single page of writing can range anywhere from $5 to $5K - easily. So I guess what it really boils down to is what you expect from the writing.

i.e. Are you expecting conversions/sales, traffic generation or sharability? Likewise, as an offliner you must also consider your clients' budget and expectations.

That being said...Here's something that I can comfortably say having began my journey online, as an offliner who gradually transitioned solely into writing:

Sometimes finding a good writer is as much about finding someone that you're on the same page with as it is about pricing.

Because when you have a good writer, you can do things that you can't do with a mediocre one. Things like:
    • Charging More for Your Services
    • Providing One Stop Shopping
    • Offering Value Added Services (that your competition doesn't); i.e. video script writing, white papers, ebooks, data sheets, etc.
So regardless of who you decide to go with...When you do find someone that you consider to be good, value the relationship. Seriously...A good offline-writer relationship is worth its weight in gold, my friend.

Buddy, no one here will reveal his best writer. It takes a lot of time and money to test waters and separate gold from trash. Whether it is here or on elance.

You've made a good point - they are hard to find. Where exactly have you been looking so far?
