I have made quite a bit with affiliate marketing success in the past (when i was 19, i am 24 now) and put my money into businesses that eventually failed.
This is because I wanted to transition from online to offline. Coming from a low-income family, I am surrounded by business illiterate, financially unsavvy and risk-fearing relatives. I hope that the "learning it the hard way" part will stop in 2015.
After the years of failure and with the trigger of reading this book here :
I am going to startup (with very minimum capital) a local web design company, with emphasis on helping small businesses do better and perform more efficiently through a better website.
-I know my prime client and i qualify leads. I currently have about 30 qualified LOCAL leads in the gym & fitness center market.
-I plan to use education based marketing by offering them a free analysis of their current website, in order to find prospects.
-I have a flexible price model moulded around how much the business is able to budget for the website. (Usually $4,000usd to $6,000usd for wordpress) This is to ensure I do not undercharge. All web design is done by me at the moment, i know the market and I have the skills.
-I have cloud based CRM & Accounting software to keep track of the business. And an operations manual is currently in development.

I hope that doing business this way will work and at least get me 1 paying client out of the 30 targeted leads i have right now, preferably in January 2015. Thinking years ahead, I would like to have offices internationally with good growth and profitability, before selling the business.
I would love to hear any comment from you guys, and every feedback i receive (be it positive or negative) will be a huge help towards making this journey successful. May everyone have a fruitful 2015, and happy new year.
