Google 'newsletter templates' (microsoft has a couple of free ones I like).

Find a few pg13 jokes.

Put together a couple of paragraphs or more about one or more items that might interest your clients that's related to your business, and, voila, you've got yourself a newsletter.

Or, just open Word, click on new, instead of document, select the media folder, then pick one of the newsletter templates in there.

Write one or more articles about topics that showcase your business yet are helpful to your client.

Write a business bio, stick it somewhere where it makes sense.

Write a call to action or two, stick them where it makes sense.

Hire someone here or on Odesk to create you a template. Hire someone here or on Odesk to write the content.

I can't find that right now, but there's a guy named Palmer, who sells pre-filled newsletters. He throws in some articles, leaving some space for you to sell or talk about your business. Jim Palmer. Here's the link to his home page:http://www.thenewsletterguru.com/

The over all basic message here. try and find other trade related newsletters. ( a template for you to follow ) I am sure your boss will have some. Engage on the cover. Remember the piece is about educating first selling second. write in 3rd person. Layout is REALLY a big deal if you are doing this in print. Microsoft Publisher I have found to be one of the better programs to doing projects like this.

PRINT ON CLEARLY WATERMARKED RYCYCLED PAPER <-- without question a must!

I just started today. Eight hours later, I have some awesome results. Now tweaking it, and get better and better results.

document everything so you can put on your resume

that you volunteered to take on this - your a great employee

you created a newsletter - have a copy to show people years from now

you wrote it - your a content writer

your mgr's, owners, other colleagues praised it - have them email their reviews and keep those emails.

Cool. Didn't really look at it that way. I just saw we where missing q newsletter and told my employer i wanted to be involved in developing one with him. Then i realised how busy he is and made the newsletter. Took me a day but i had no idea how mailchimp and templates worked lol management really liked it. Maybe tweak some content but the one i made today is the one we are going to use for all clients.

Its not really a big deal but maybe i just don't market myself well enough

Everything you do, how long it took, what was the result.

So you can do it again, better, for someone else, a new client.
