Jason Kanigan - Punched in the Face

''You're gonna get punched in the face for at least a couple of years if you're going to choose this self-employed route, so be ready for that''.

Great advice from Jason Kanigan about what it's going to take to make a success of running your own show:

I didn't realise the headline would kind of imply it would actually be something people hoped to see, lol and would be disappointed that Jason was actually dropping pearls of wisdom and let people know what they can expect to encounter rather than getting assaulted. I thought it might arouse a certain curiosity and get people to click just to see.

300 views is not bad for a thread with very little engagement in couple of days. Was hoping to see more engagement though, because he's someone who know's what they are talking about being honest and realistic about what it would take.

The lack of response makes me think you absolutely have to lie and blow smoke and use hype and impossible idealizations and grand claims of how easy things will be to reach newbies or people still floundering.

This is pure gold from Kanigan.

If you're not in condition yourself for battle, with the right qualities, mindset and awareness of what you need such as money to invest, it's going to happen. Forget methods and whether this tactic or methods still works or not. It's on you to start doing the right things and be willing to fight when you know you've got something decent to sell.

Another great example of a misleading headline...what'd you expect?

For the video, I got a pure golden nugget from it to use as a twist on something I'm already doing. The guy speaks the harsh truth. Some people can't handle that.

What do you mean 'what d'you expect'. Are you saying the lack of engagement is tied to the misleading headine and people being disappointed to not see someone get punched in the face.

I don't always have a high opinion of the majority of people on this place, but even I would not think that most would click on this thread all excited and expectant to see Jason Kanigan get punched in the face and then be pissed they didn't. I realized at a later point it could seem like I did thing many would actually like to see. But even if they wouldn't be hoping to see that, they'd be curious enough by the headline to click.

I expected people would be curious, but watch the video, and not being a complete tool, would understand what the reference was actually about and learn a good lesson, rather than be pissed off and feel duped.

        What is this, 4chan?

I guess there are idiots like that, but it's not aimed at them, lets put it that way.

        • I din't take it that way.

I thought it was about us taking the hits of your own business or
          rejection with selling and marketing.

on a personal note - nice to see Jason without a baseball cap!

The number problem that newbies have, and that even many of the people who have been at it for years, is they've been utterly brainwashed and indoctrinated more intensely than a POW in a Communist concentration camp that the opportunity they are being presented with and coaxed to buy will instantantly create some easy, stress-free, automated flow of money and opportunity and everything is going to be rosy.

If even one person took that on board and changed their approach so they got real and were willing to persist, they'd get far more from that lesson than watching someone get punched, if they weren't an imbecile, and would not have felt disappointed or mislead.
