Advertising Help: Mistake 3, Wrong Type Of Ad For Your Business

The more complicated and higher priced the product or service is,
the more steps are required to get the sale.

Example:2 plus steps to the sale

The easier it is to understand what the product or service is and does, at a lower price point, then striping away everything and leaving the core offer is required to get the sale.

Example:1 step to the sale

I was thinking about your post Ewen and I didn't have anything in the tank because I'm busy looking after two kids whilst my wife is overseas for 50 days...I'm 8 days into it.

Still got to run a business with 8 full timers and a couple of remote workers so "Free time" is in slightly short supply.

I think the key whether you have complicated high price product or a simple solution to a common problem is going through the "Stripping Back" process.

Too often it is easy to add more steps and add levels of complications to process that just don't need to be there.

is probably a good ideal to think of even if you are selling a complicated problem.

there's something about that reptilian brain that focuses on the "Easy solution" . feed me now.

    ...that the simple Problem...Solution...Guarantee offers.

I find it easier to strip back client's adverts or ideas than sometimes to strip back my own which it is why studying the great advertisers and copywriters is essential as is paying attention to the messages you post.

Thanks again for providing value to the intellectual marketers out there.

Maybe I should write a whole post about a proven formula for
creating a interesting narrative on a complicated product
      suited to the sophisticated.

      Thoughts?
