Help on Marketing a Tshirt printing business

Hey guys,

I just started a screen printing business with a partner and right now we can barely find customers.

Most of our customers find us on craigslist but its not enough to pay the rent for our office.

We tried flyers and SMS text but that didn't get much customers. Also contacted business owners that we did business with and no result.

What do you think I should do?

    what you should do? CREATE A BRAND.

    As counter intuitive as it may sound... I am going to assume you or your partner is a graphic designer. I would create some designs and hit it out of the park with T-Spring, and develop a Facebook following in the process. After 5 to 10 designs.. introduce YOUR designs for sale on YOUR site, along with the t-spring designs you have already done.

    I don't know about you and your partner.. what you guyz are into but look at e-bay and dickie work shirts and try some bad ashed design and see where that goes!

    Basically you can sit there and wonder what the hell to do, or start taking steps to making money. It may not be in the direction your were hoping.. but until that develops, you will keep the dream alive and pay rent!

    I started a tshirt store in December before Xmas. He's right about creating a brand. My brand is growing virally popular we have reached almost 10k in sales since then, I just hired 1 staff.

    Thanks so much guys. Your words are inspiring! I was looking into the direction of designing t-shirts as well to keep the business alive. Making 10k in sales is amazing! congrats to you!
