Phone lead gen payment options

For those who sell phone lead generation to clients via live transfers, how do you work out the payment method?

Do you charge an upfront balance? Do you just bill at the end of the month? Do you charge a setup fee intially? Do you do something else?

I've never billed after the fact with any work, because I wanted to prevent from getting screwed. I'm trying to figure out the best way, to bill & figure that you all have some good ideas.

I don't know of any auto billing methods that allow for variable auto billing.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I bill them weekly or monthly depending on client and call volume. PM me because I want to pick your brain too.

I charge up front for 5 - 10 leads (flat fee per lead). Once their balance runs out, they have to decide if they want more leads - if not, I offer leads to their competition.

Here is my problem with Lead Gen - when I did it, I soon realized the biz owner had incompetent people in his office (listen to calls on Call Rail)

I also found that it is not always "immediate" for larger repair house etc jobs - so the owner may think leads bad but then 2 mo later they buy/get the service

I do think a program like call rail helps to validate good - and bad/telemarketer.etc leads
