Cockroaches feasting on your heart

I know you are thinking about them right now: crappy people in your life. That boss, that co-worker, that a-hole in the other lane who cut you off. Blowhards, posers, people with half your talent and 10x the self-delusion. The problem is these knuckleheads are renting space in your brain. You are thinking about how they wronged you rather than concentrating on your own goals.

James Altucher says the only answer is to cut crappy people out of your life completely. See #4 on this list:

Unfortunately many of those cockroaches can often be found in your own family, particularly if you try to do something to rise above the family script. My wife and I have both had to cut close family ties after realizing that some people were just toxic and wouldn't work within healthy boundaries. You can't change other people, just how much time you have to spend in their presence.

      Spot on!
And it's not for nothing where Napoleon Hill wrote about the third step of persistence:

"A MIND CLOSED TIGHTLY AGAINST ALL NEGATIVE AND DISCOURAGING INFLUENCES, including negative suggestions of relatives, friends and acquaintances."

I like this phrase "When you get in the mud with a pig, you get dirty and the pig gets happy"
