Are salespeople spindoctors?

Do spindoctors and salespeople use the same techniques? Are they one and the same? Discuss.

Look forward to the discussion!

Personally I beg to differ here. A spin doctor is a person responsible for ensuring that others interpret an event from a particular point of view.

If you have a bad product you will not be able to sell it no matter how good the salesperson is. A bad product is a bad product.

A salesperson's job is not to make you think a certain way about a product or service (event), the salesperson is responsible for qualifying you as a potential customer through skilled questioning, painting a picture of how you can use said product or service, and showing you the actual value that the product or service provides.

One of the most powerful facets of selling is clear communication. Creating a clear understanding of what you offer, and how it benefits the customer.

That may be the opposite of spin, I don't know.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?
