Telemarketing for summer

Yes, it's graduation time. Grads with lofty goals. I told my nephew no matter what he did, it will help to have sales skills. (Side thought: I read once a few years ago that oldsters like me were great with people, but less so on tech, while the kids were great with tech, but didn't know how to interact in person -- things like introducing yourself, firm handshake, initiating a conversation, being personable, etc.)

Anyway, I suggested he get a telemarketing job because having sales skills will put him far ahead of his peers. Then use that experience/skill to start his own thing, get a corporate sales job, whatever he wants to do. He agrees with the value, although he says he may move to Texas or Arizona with his gf at the end of July.

My question: Are there national telemarketing companies (or "in-house" operations) he could start with in Wisconsin now, and then asked to be transferred to an office with the same company in another state halfway through the summer?

Hi....not sure if they would be in Wisconsin...? some large companies do telemarket for lots of companies...like at and t , verizon etc

however, once he has some phone skills he can walk into any telemarket room and get a job

I think this is a great idea, there are so many skills he can pick up. Suggest that he finds a real mentor (not one of these long distance ones LOL)....and listen to what they do...listen to the top sellers
a good phone room should have managers who listen to you and jump in, help you close etc

This will really help him in future no matter what career he chooses
