Printing and shipping for bulk personalized postcards?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a service that can print and ship my personalized cards. I've seen the recommendations on this forum, they are great but all of the bulk processing is not personalized for each card.

I want to send 1000 cards but on each of them I want a custom message and image(like prospect name and picture). Ideally it would be if they offer an API, but I can do that manually as well.

I've found API service like lob.com, but they price $0.54/card for 1000 cards which I think it's kinda expensive.

    If you think about what you are asking for... .54 is a bargain in my book. If I sit here and blast off 1000 cards on my laser printer as an example think of the expense ( ink and paper ) and then the expense of trimming all of these.

    Bulk printing is just that BULK.. the same thing over an over... the minute you want each card individual and different, you are going to pay for that, and I seriously do not see .54 as being "paying out the nose" in any way shape of form.. I would be calling to see if the price is a mis-quote! LOL

        For the services you want, yeah that's cheap... think of it this way 1000 cards All the same would be what $100 give or take. then because you no longer have the ability to do EDDM postage your postage rate is .35 each. so you are at $450 without the cards being custom printed and individual. So for an additional $90 they will print off 1000 different cards.. and you are complaining about price? Get the fluffberries out of here... that's a steal

    Yes that is dirt cheap. Every one is printed different ? Very cheap

    If it was just a matter of putting a sequential tracking code on it , that would not be too expensive or difficult but it sounds like you are actually doing a mail merge where the prospects name is appended to it? And worked into a message?

    You might also consider doing a split test - mailing out cards without the personalization for less and seeing which one gets a better ROI for you?
