That's the link to an article in webpronews about user engagement on FaceBook, with side-by-side comparisons and percentages.

It will make you salivate...

    • That's an understandable reaction. If you read the article I linked to, the glorious facts will probably make you want to do it twice.

But some people market on FaceBook, and having the numbers might help them.

For instance, engagement has decreased across all industries from 2014 to 2015. From 5.3% to 3.8% in retail (the best performing sector).

Videos have an organic reach of 8.7% but photos only 3.7%, lower than links (5.3%) or status updates (5.8%).

Status updates went down by 72%. Which means all those people selling FaceBook page maintenance are wasting business owners' money?

And here's a question: are YouTube videos embedded in a FaceBook page videos and links? If yes, does it mean they have an organic reach of 5.3%+8.7%? And is that the same as cha-ching?

If organic reach = is the number of unique people, fans or non-fans, who saw any content about your Page in their News Feed, Ticker or on your Page, and your video converts at an amazing 33%, that means 287 out of 1000 people who saw it call. If you convert at an amazing 33%, that means that you get 94 sales for every 1000 people who see your video. Ain't that grand?
