Ways to deal with, cope with and counter rejection

In offline marketing, we encounter sometimes more than our share of rejection.

If you struggle with rejection, I encourage you to read the following transcript. It might give you breakthrough you've been searching for.

Dave Asprey (of Bulletproof Executive) interviewed Jia Jiang, the "One of Hundred Days of Rejection" blogger.

PS: I don't anymore, but I used to be severely afraid of being rejected. Thousands of gun-to-the-head cold calls quickly beat that fear out of me.

It was my own version of "rejection therapy."

I like Jia's version better.

That article is way too long for me to read as I have no fear of rejections. But I did just want to add my 2 cents.

Rejections are just the customers way of telling you how to sell them. They know what they want... listen to them.

& the easiest way to "cope" with rejection is to have a passion for what you're offering. If you truly believe that what you're selling will help your buyer then you should be able to deter the fear, price point, or commission and just focus on "THIS IS GOING TO HELP MY CUSTOMER 10 FOLD"

Robert Kiyosaki says "Change your focus, from making money to serving more people. Serving more people makes the money come in."

& if you're not passionate about what you're selling... sell something else.

The "trick" to cope with rejection is to understand that is part of the process. No matter how good your product or service is there will be people out there that will not want what you have to offer... even if you offer it for free.

Now if you understand that even the greatest salespeople can't close 100%, that even Babe Ruth didn't had 100% of home runs, that "rejection" is part of life.

Rejection is not a bad thing, it's a good thing when you know your numbers because you know you are closer to a yes.

    Thanks for sharing this.
