Need To Make Sales Fast- Email vs. Cold Call vs. In Person

I hope I'm posting this in the right section, but I was wondering if someone could help me out. I have an unique service (to sell) to a particular niche (beauty brands targeted towards women). I'd like to begin outreach as soon as possible since the service is ready and since I really could use the extra income.

For the sake of time, should I only be emailing these people/brands and contacting/engaging with them through social media? Or is it better to actually call/go door to door with flyers of some sort? Btw, my service isn't solely for my location, but international.

As of right now I've been searching for my target audience and just manually scraping their contact info into a spreadsheet.

Sorry if this isn't allowed, but any form of advice would be appreciated!

To OP - call or go in to the salons , if they are open monday (some are nowadays)..go then and then hit it hard on Tuesday , weds, sometimes thurs evening

pretty much forget friday , no time to talk

Find out the owners name, use it. Most salon owners are very busy so keep it short ,sweet,, sell the sizzle not the steak

There are tons of trade shows, expos, large, small, national , regional, some sponsored by manufacturers Check that out.

I know the mods here seem to be asleep. But if everybody in this section does this to the violators maybe this section of the forum can be cleaned up.

You should do a combination of all the above. I would suggest getting out and visiting the local area in person. For business out of your area, pick up the phone and call them. Plus the E-mail marketing will take time to build up.

I would use the search function and learn about each method on this forum. The faster you try cold calling and meet people in person. The easier it will be, to get some cash in hand.

Good Luck and let us know how you are making out in a few days.

If your product/service is best shared using a few bullet-point highlights and a pic or 2...I would for sure try email.

    Don't think either/or - think both/and - all/everything!

You want to make it? Go all out every way you can. Don't limit yourself to just one thing.

    Go for it!

The fastest way will be cold calling the prospects, but it is tedious and requires lots of work. If however you want a smarter strategy this will be it:

    1) Create a target list of quality prospects (50 to 100)
    2) Start an emailing campaign
    3) Start a direct mail campaign
    4) Call the rest who didn't respond

This way you get as many leads as possible how are hot from emails and direct mail and you create branding awareness when you call which creates trust and makes it easier for you to get past the gatekeeper and talk to the business owner or decision maker.

Just wanted to share a little update.

I spent the majority of the day finalizing my monthly service and creating a spread sheet of target prospects. Found 70 so far and sent personalized emails to each prospect. Also, I left a note in the email stating that I'll pay a referral fee to anyone who successfully refers someone to my service.

Sent 50 emails out of the 70. I figured that since it's 1:30 a.m already, it won't make a difference if I send the rest in the morning. I know that 70 businesses aren't enough prospects. My goal starting tomorrow is to send at least 300 personalized emails a day.

Hired a VA to help me as well, since I still have tons of work to do for my agency job.

Kind of nervous, but excited to see what kind of results I get. Excuse the bad grammar, I'm exhausted.

Oh yeah right... here is some real advice...do NOT let anyone from some other country near your LinkedIn

LinkedIN is for real people, real profiles....if you live in the US you can get a US "coach" to help YOU improve your LinkedIN profile - add cover pic, improve your listing...

but please do NOT let someone from some other country romp around in there

I just had to help a guy whose LinkedIN was frozen cause he hired a cheap guy from India
and all his connections were Indians - which does him no good here in our local area

and Indians had taken over the *set up wrong company page they made and they were posting junk...and contacting his few US connections...and posting really stupid stilted English junk....OMG what a freaking mess

they made posts that went against tos

and they made a company cover page with biz name spelled wrong

I would not let anyone from some other country near Linkedin

I would not connect to anyone in yeah -"third world" countries - I have NO interest in meeting people from other countries - why would I?

Just the fact a disgusting spam post was posted here should let you know..but hey for those who want to be "cheap" - or don't know how to do anything - go for it

Just don't come crying here when your facebook page is gone and your Linkedin is frozen
and your website is so deranked that you won't be found in Timbucktoo

It is about time we get real on here
I am getting so disgusted - maybe I should get a translator program and sell "reports" on how to get a green card , how to get a usa job, how to marry a usa woman....
all fake and foolish but then again I guess that is what many of them offer

I am really getting sick of the poorly translated one liners here too haha

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update. I realize that I need to get organized before continuing to pursue selling my service. So in the mean time I've decided to pursue selling my current startup so I can raise the capital to really grow with my next venture.

Thanks for all of your advice!!

Good idea to actually have your plan and "process" in place THEN come here and more people will be willing to share ideas with you....

IMHO all these generic "whadda ya think I should do" posts are just a waste of time....more and more people post with very little details...no real guidelines or parameters .... and I think this just brings in the spammers

Very disturbing that they only suggest whatever pipe dream they are pushing this week
