Selling websites to businesses - Critique my plan

Should I target businesses that dont have a website or have a bad website?
When I contact businesses that have a bad website, they usually say that they are not interested because they already have one.
I feel like it's easier to sell to businesses with no website.
People want what they don't have.

I'm targeting contractors and car mechanics. Any other good niches? I think doctors and dentists are too saturated. I don't want to deal with lawyers legal stuff.

Here's what I'm doing:
I cold call businesses, tell them I made them a website (demo), see if they are interested, get their email and send them a link to the website. Then we do a phone appointment.

I have a few interested leads so far, just need to send them their website and do a phone appointment. But I have to cold call a lot of businesses just to get a few interested leads. After getting a lot of "not available, not interested, voicemail, dnc, hung up" responses, I feel tired and don't feel like doing anything.

How do I convince them to buy the website? Yes, I'm sending them a link to see it, but what if they don't like the way it looks or my price is too high?
My price is $1000 one time setup fee, and $150/year maintenance fee for domain and hosting. Am I doing this right? I don't want to charge too much or too little.

If you do a search here you will find this has been hashed and rehased a gazillion times

no one can tell you if your price is right without seeing your sites or knowing your local market

sometimes you just have to try different things and see what works

One thing I see is your targeting - if you are just calling contractors and car mechanics without a website do you know if they are "qualified" or likely to spend that much?

Some of these guys are a one man shop, working from home, maybe renting a spot in a repair shop or a warehouse.....will a guy like this spend a thousand on a site?

well, i'm not sure what other niches to contact.

doctors and dentists are too saturated
dont like dealing with lawyers legal stuff
      accountants don't really need one...

some niches have money to spend but there's not a lot of them out there.

There's plenty out there. Anyone who's advertising has money to spend. You just have to persuade them to spend it with you...

How many businesses you have contacted so far & how many sales you got ?
I used to work in hardware supplier shop and believe me we use to get tons of calls everyday about this website and seo stuff.

If you want sales, you need to think out of box.

If you have a more detailed diagram and explanation why your website is better than their old ones, then there might be a better chance in convincing those hard to convince business owners. Also being since would work magic!

Take some time to build a nice template that you can slap the target companies logo on and then when talking to them ask if its ok to send them a picture of the sample so they can visualize the product.

1K plus $150 a month is too high especially for Auto Mechanics, and Blue Collar Niches. You should also know a lot of Auto Shops are involved in shady car parts scams and don't really want to be found online.
Contractors are probably not a good bet either, they have Union issues especially here in the USA, scandals, allegations, Scams, etc. It's not the same as an old fashioned dentist, doctor, lawyer market.

No, my price is $1000 one-time setup fee then I charge them $150 per year maintenance fee for domain and hosting. It is not 150/month.

I'm targeting car mechanics and contractors because I feel like they do have some money to spend. I mean, their services aren't cheap so I don't think 1k is that expensive. Maybe I'm wrong.

What other niches do you recommend?
