Success Selling Website and marketing, our 2 weeks results

I know lot of guys have difficulty to sell website/marketing so here's our success story in the hope that it will help some guys with motivation/tips etc..

We started a 2 guys operation to sell website and marketing consulting to local business around a big city.

We start two week ago, i'm the marketing/computer/webdesign guy and my associate is the seller.

We created a website focussed on Traffic and Conversion as a niche and a high quality VPS server to host our client.

Our brand is high quality / High price positionning but we have lot of special and gift for our customers/prospect(allways try to make things possible for your customers to buy).

Typical website sell around $400-1000$ with high quality hosting + update and monitoring at $20-30$ / month

We are also offering 10/20/30 hours block of conversions optimisations / SEO

There's the sales funnel:
  • The promotion was easy, did around 300-400 doors
  • Gave us around 150 good conversation with 150 business cards
  • Around 20 VERY HOT leads and 30 more long term leads
  • Already had 5 appointement that give us 4 sales, 3 website and a car business that did buy us a lead system hack i invented (my associate is an incredible seller, he's very action oriented and very good at creating a relation and closing deals, lucky me hehe)
  • We reach out 7 more of the hot leads by phone and gave us 7 new appointment for the next week (hehe 100 % conversion lol)

We are offering 100% guarantee satisfaction and are VERY clients oriented.

Not a money question, it's a giving service to help business around and value yourself and your work.

Next week are full of project, we rent another space in the downtown of the big city, buying ipad, whiteboard and more stuff to grow even more.

    Congrats on your success!

    I'm curious about what the difference would be between a $400.00 and $1000.00 website? How many pages? How many words per article? Are you using a unique website design or are you using templates?

    Just a few things off the top of my head. I appreciate anything you'd care to share.

    As i said i'm there to help my clients so i would simply charge less for a hair cutting business and other small business than i am for bigger ones, but really can be the sames for 400$ or 1000$ ...

    I'm using wordpress + designing unique template for each website (very fast with the tools i use)

    The websites are around 5-10 pages and my clients are giving me the text that i'm improving after or i sell them 400-600 words articles/pages when they don't want to do it themself.

    I read once that something like 90% of the communication is non verbal and it's verry difficult to fake so people can read you and on subcounscious level and know if you are true/helping or not....

      So you're giving them the option to provide articles themselves and charging them additionally if they want you to do it? How much extra are you charging per article?

      Example, if I owned an auto repair shop in a city of 75,000 people and needed a 10 page site because I offer several services, how much would you charge for that? Apx is okay.

      Yep. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. I've been in sales for many years and have customers that I've done business with since the mid-1990s, so I understand the importance of relationship building and treating customers well. That's especially true if you're selling products/services on the backend to build residual income.

        • Headway template (this is THE template that you have to use to build custom website)
        • Visual Composer plugin (You need this one to be fast)
        • Pipedrive for the client management
        • Asana & Trello to manage the projects
        • And Evernote to note everything (i got thousands of notes)

        I would start at something like $700 + 10X400 words($20) = 200$ + $20 premium monthly hosting

        I would follow with an upsell of a 10 hours traffic optimisation + PPC/Facebook campaing

        P.S. Ask about some good words that you could post on your website once he is 100% happy about your delivery.

        P.P.S. And make sure to ask recommendation for 3 other business (and i repeat, 3 other business) he know that could use your services!

    It`s not cold cald, it`s door to door walking
    and the 4 sales are what we did close but we already have 8 more appointment from theses and as i said a lot of leads we have to call to take appointment.

    I'`ll keep you up to date with the stats and sales but i can already tell you it`s very profitable...
