In July of this year, Jerry Weintraub died at 77 years old. He was a legend in music, movies, television, sports and politics, representing the biggest names in the business.

Here he explains how he cold called all night to get the $1 million he needed to convince Colonel Tom Parker to let him promote a series of Elvis concerts.

Nice post, Joe. So, Jerry became a millionaire from the tour. I wonder what the businessman
    - the guy who put up the million dollar guarantee, received from the deal?

I'm sure he was very happy.

And people dont believe some of MY stories...sheesh! Yeah,I can see this happening...not to everyone, but to SOME people who cold call. Something amazing is happening out there somewhere for some cold caller every day. If you spend enough time cold calling you are likely to have brushes with fame and all kinds of things. It's numbers and probability.Sometimes you get through to unbelievable people by some stroke of luck. Some perfect storm. Perfect storms happen from time to time over large bodies of numbers.
