Hi all,

Can anyone recommend me any payment providers for taking payments over the phone today in the year 2015, or at least point me in the direction of any threads discussing this?

Thanks muchly.

squareup is the easiest solution, otherwise you'll have to use a merchant account which will involve a lot more on your end. Just get a square reader and you'll be all set.

      That's great, thanks Bob.

Are there any sites where you can just input the card numbers into an online form, ala Paypal (pref not Paypal).

Sure, I also use authorize.net but you'd need to setup a merchant account which is a lot more of a process than just using square.

Paypal for business is the only one I have used interested to hear if there are others aside from Auth.Net Paypal for business I think is small monthly fee I cant confirm but I thought I read on here somewhere that one of the successful offliners was using WAVE maybe freshbooks.

Any equivalent in the Great White North?

EDIT: Nevermind, they do have something.

I don't know what country you're in, but I was surprised when I learned that Square doesn't have the manually inputed credit card over the phone facility for the UK.

    You're in the UK right?

I have used Izettle in the past, they let you take card payments on your phone, but they also have an app that lets you put card payment in.

Spark Pay by Capital One has an option "keyed-in" transaction, but it costs 3.7% per transaction. You may want to look into companies that allow you send a custom invoice, so your clients can enter their info and submit it for processing. The one that I was looking into is Flint. They are cheaper than many other providers and let you invoice your customers. I think they also have a feature that lets you create a payment link that you can embed on your website.
