How to advertise Smartphone business on facebook - Looking for creative ideas
Today I am not here to talk about my marketing company, or marketing tactics we are using, but to get some creative ideas for advertising a different kind of business I have recently become a part of.
Long story short;
In the recent months, I have come into ownership of a decently sized chain of Smartphone repair/retail stores. I won't bore you with the details but to put it short, I have the marketing down pat. Our search engine rankings are great, and business is doing well. During a meeting yesterday it came to my attention that our social media presence is lacking very bad.
Social media marketing has not been my cup of tea from the beginning but for this type of business, it's definitely a very effective tool for marketing and should not be looked over. This is why I have decided to seek the help of my long lost friends here at the Warrior Forum.
Bottom line - We need to boost our social media presence.
- My first thought was to build up our following to the facebook page. Right now our likes are suffering. I do plan to use facebooks paid advertising to grow the page.
But this is about where my thoughts come to an end. I'm not really sure what the 'recommended' way to build a following is...
Promote the page for likes?
Setup a sponsored post promoting a discount for a page like as well as a main offer?
Boost our organic posts?
I have a decent budget, but am not looking to waste it.
We sell and repair hundreds of smartphones each month so I would think having a large facebook following and using our facebook page as craigslist would be effective? IE. a new phone shipment arrives, we could post for sale ads on our facebook page offering our followers a 10% discount, free charger, free accessories etc. Am I on the right track here?
I'm not looking to be spoonfed, I will make this work regardless so don't think I'm asking for you to hold my hand, those that do remember me, know I'm not like that.
But helpful advice from you seasoned marketers in Social Media would be greatly appreciated.
I will follow this thread and reply to each response. All of your advice will be taken in
Happy New Year!
