How to find websites with a live chat function?

Hi all.

So recently I've had the idea of contacting companies via live chat in order to get a conversation going straight away, rather than sending cold emails that may get overlooked. For the past week I've spent just half an hour a day searching "Industry + city +live chat" to find companies that have a live chat function on their website. Around 1-2 listings per page on Google give a website that has a live chat function and from just 2 and a half hours of prospecting I have managed to get myself 3 warm leads from prospecting to around 10 companies.

Once I actually engage with a client and they're willing to listen I do quite well as the product speaks for itself. Live chat allows me to immediately engage in conversation or have the sales operative forward my details onto the correct person (which is of course better than me emailing cold).

However, what I want to ask is how can I find companies with a live chat function easier? Only getting 1-2 sites per 10 results and sifting through countless websites without live chat is becoming tedious. There must be a better way to find them or a more clever way to search on Google?

Thanks!

Luke

    Hi Luke,

Most live chat solutions for websites are usually a managed solution where the website pays either for the service or pays per lead.

Not many sites run their own live chat although I know a few that do.

The issue here is if you are not a genuine enquirer for the website's service then they are not going to be happy to pay for your contact details via their live chat.

Also even if you get through to someone who does manage their own live chat you are not necessarily going to be welcomed when the service if there to generate leads for the business.

      Hi.

Thanks for this, but I think you may have missed the point of the thread. I haven't had one piece of bad feedback from any company so far and 9 times out of 10 they're at least interested to hear what I have to offer after the initial couple of sentences explaining what we can do for them. It's just a way to engage in conversation.

So to get back on track, does anyone know a way for me to search for companies that have live chat as a feature on their site, most likely through Google somehow?

      Luke.

This may sound a little weird but since you are looking for companies that has live Chat function and it is a tedious process, how about you get into the business of selling Live Chat Software! By doing this you can sell live chat software to ANY business with a website, and if they already have live chat, BINGO! This will give you selling leverage, now any business is a customer!

Look into private label Chat software. If the business is interested in Live Chat you can sell or resell software or you sell what ever product or service that you are currently selling to them. Or Both.....It is up to you.

Have you tried using the advanced search page ?https://www.google.com/advanced_search

You can also try using search operators in the search.

You could try the niche coupled with the OR operator - live chat OR chat now

    Hello luke4,

Did you try looking for "case study" or "our customers" tabs on the websites of LiveChat software providers? That's a way for sure

    Cheers
