Setting up meeting between your companys CEO and your potential client?

I´m very new at this, but my wifes company is growing, and I have some time, so we thought I could do some selling, basically cold calls. I know the product (its a service) but the best thing is if she does the potential meetings with new clients/companies. Its B2B calling/selling btw. It´s best that way because 1) its her company, and 2) she´s very good at meeting people basically. I´m not that great at that, but a good caller.

Question is..is that not normal to do it that way? Me calling, mailing, creating a relationship with the lets say human resources person, and then i set up a meeting in person between that person and my wife?

Any thoughts on this?
