COLD CALLERS what is the main thing you have trouble with when making your prospecting calls? what could you improve on? what's preventing you from closing. What do you suck at? what do you want to learn more about?

I want to add some value here so I'm going to pick a topic from here based on your responses and write a highly detailed thread about it. Go ahead write some problems you have it will be funny you'll get to see me spend a bunch of time typing out a thread and all the "gurus" argue my techniques. that sounds pretty fun doesn't it?

So if you want to see my write a thread instead of pick apart everyone elses threads and responses lets do it.

Currently i'm in the process of transitioning from telemarketing as a minimum wage worker for a credit card processing company to telemarketing for my own business selling higher ticket items with fat juicy commission payouts per sale (500-1500).

For me, generating leads, getting emails, and setting a time to callback to answer any questions or solve any rebuttlas with the business owner is no problem at all. I've did some testing with my script and over a 7 hour test period i was able to generate an average of 2-3 leads per hour from 40-50 calls.

My main issue is building up the courage, confidence and commitment to make that callback as I said I would, because as we all know this is important as the $$$ is always in the follow up.

I recently quit my full time minimum wage job, making 500-600 calls per day even after being offered a promotion which would of been $14 avg per hour instead of $11, but in my commission-only entrepreneurship I know I will be able to clear at least an avg of $40 to $50+ or much more per hour making at least 50 calls per hour. This amount of calls won't be a problem as I'm using ring central which allows me to call a number simply by highlighting the phone number on the excel field, pressing f6 and boom the call is placed, no manual dialing required..

All I have to do is commit myself with full dedication to follow up and convert the interested leads into customers. My dream and vision is dedicate full-time hours to this which would result in 20-30 leads per day from 450-500 calls (considering my past results from script testing) or 100-150 leads per week. With this amount of leads I know I'll be able to close quite a few sales IF I keep following up not once, twice or three times but until I rebutalled as much as I could and theyre still not interested or until they buy

You might as well ask how to overcome fear.

When you were a kid you might have been scared there was a boogeyman in your closet. The anxiety of the unknown, right? I'll bet you eventually got over that fear. Why? Because you opened the damn closet.

No problem my friend. I am actually quite adept at cold calling. I just like learning other people's take on it. If I can learn something new then I am all the more enriched.

A husband painting his stairwell in his new house is your example of what exactly?
