Am I desperate, or crazy? Or Both?

I found an offer that has been shown to convert really well with cold traffic.

So, i'm thinking, print up like 1,000 business cards with some comedic bait.

"Go here for the winning lottery numbers".

Put my clickbank HOP and just pass them out.

The offer is recurring(about 25% rebill) and I can scale up.

should be able to go through 1,000 business cards a week as I live 20 mins from the city.

Well as you can see I have probably lost my mind.

The CTA you have in mind is misleading.

    You might want to reconsider.

The traffic you might get might have a very low ROI.

    You are right.

There is another product that might convert better.

    A family survival one.

It might be better to use on of the benefits listed in the sales video.

You know (or should know by now) that the only way to see if your idea has legs is to go out and try it. Track the results, test different copy, and see how it does.

You've lost your mind if you don't follow through as nothing will get done otherwise.

You need to do the math. What will be the cost of printing 1,000 biz cards? What would be the cost of driving to city and back home? How much of those 1,000 biz card people do you expect to go to the net and check out the offer? How many of those checking the offer do you expect to really buy?

If your math points to the possible profit after you've done all of the above, then don't listen to anyone. Just go and test!

There's nothing wrong with pulling up your sleeves and taking action (assuming you do so)...

As you'd already be ahead of many others in the first place.

Do it up and see how it converts

When it comes to the offer you promote and the copy you use...

That part's completely up to you.

What's the problem with promoting it online?

People have done crazier things, and been far more desperate than you, yet still managed to pull off spectacular results.

Obviously, I can't say how well you would do but I can say that there are people who still utilize business cards effectively.

Just make sure your "comedic bait" is really strong enough to entice people to check out the website url or this idea of yours is guaranteed to net you a loss before you even print your first card.

    Regards,
    Daniel

Instead of your clickbank url, I would use a custom url and just redirect. Keep it simple. Other then that, biz cards are cheap and if you have a reasonable way to get the offer into peoples hands, why wouldn't you give it a shot?

Yes, as larrya stated, you should use a custom URL which is very short or very memorizable or both

    Lets see how it goes...

Where will you distribute the cards? Everywhere? Then you are doomed.

    Targeted? You stand a chance.

    Case Study: Lottery HOTSHEETS.

Instead of biz cards, I created a lottery Hotsheet, gave it to merchants with lotto machines, they collected a buck (free money) and most locations sold about 60 per month.

They allowed the "distribution" because they made the money, it was a no cost item and some places charged up to 5 bux for the Hotsheet.

Inside the 8.5" x 11" Lucky Number Pick sheet, were several offers for ONLINE items RELATED to the lottery.

    So, this can work IF

You have a targeted point of distribution... example: a gym for strength training
Your incentive to go online and take action is good enough (Free report or FREE something)

You have a follow up system in place with back-ends, etc.

If you do it with some planning, preparation and keep in mind you have to have the right distribution, it could be a useful tool in your marketing toolbox.
