Anybody here used Facebook Lead Ads?

They just put out some new features for them including ESP integration and ability to target desktop users. These seem like the absolute pinnacle of online marketing, the ability to highly target and capture leads in two taps. I've got tons of possible uses bouncing around in my head for online and offline marketing and I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

I was looking at using them over the last couple of days.

Gone off the idea for my situation because of the number of form fields
I want to use. This kinda goes against the point of making it easy for
the reader to just tap the populated fields.

The other problem I've encountered is using syncing tools
to auto transfer the data over to a auto responder like Active Campaign.

Facebook's API has a possibility of not delivering all the data
when more forms are added in the Power Editor.

In the right situation where it's ok to just capture minimal data
then well worth testing I'd say.

    Best,
    Ewen

I've been using them and they are working quite well in our tests.

Since about 80% of the traffic to the site I've been testing it on is mobile, it's great they they can submit a form without the pain of filling out a form. We are getting many times more leads than we were with the same ad that took them to our optin form for a download.

You can decide how many fields you want on the form. We started out asking name, email, phone and state.

So for we are getting pretty good quality leads for a download for only $1.80 each. That's in an industry where they are used to paying $25-30 per lead.

The quality of the lead isn't quite as good because of the ease of submission but I plan to intersect the audiences and add a couple more qualifying fields to the form to reduce the number but probably increase the quality.

But with the cost so low it's a winner even if this doubles or triples our cost per lead.

It is a pain to use the leads unless you have a way to integrate them into your autoresponder or cms. There are a few solutions but they all cost money. I didn't find
a solution to integrate with Zapier which gives you a lot more options.

Very interesting results, I'm definitely going to experiment with them

They also just put out some new integrations and features two days ago, I was able to integrate them with Mailchimp through Zapier. You can also add videos instead of images now

                Brilliant...thank you!

I was holding off on investing in a video
until I was clear on this.

BTW, can you link me to the page
                which announced it please?

I couldn't find it within Facebook or Google.

                Thanks,

                  Here it is
                  https://www.facebook.com/business/ne...ct-with-people

Also just set up my first campaign and for some reason the CPM is ridiculously high at the moment, like $16. If that's typical there's no way I'm going to use them moving forward

Limit your daily budget to what you are prepared to pay and
stick to it for 4 to 5 days so Facebook sorts it's algo out.

If you can't commit to 4 to 5 days, don't run it.

                    Thanks for the link.

I'll have to experiment, i was expecting CPM to be the same as a typical ad. If it stays that high it simply won't be worth it on a cost per lead basis compared to the normal ads sending traffic to a landing page

I almost always start our campaigns at $5-10.

The CPM leads were similar to other ad types

My ads are redirecting straight to the URL rather than opening up the lead form when clicked on, anybody have this issue?

This happens after I submit a lead to my own ad. Im not sure if its happening to those that are being advertised to. Why have you found that?

I've had shit luck with these I'm afraid to say.

I've been doing B2B campaigns (very narrow targeting), <20,0000, and I'm just barely getting any engagement. Cost-per-lead is coming in at $20+ which is just ridiculous...

All in all, I think Facebook ads are grossly overrated. And this is coming from a guy who's taken considerable time to learn the platform.

I will not be giving Zuckerburg anymore of my money.

I've had fantastic success with lead ads.

Using them for a company that usually buys leads for $20-30/each

By using FB lead ads, I'm getting quality leads for $2-3.

    2-3$?

I assume you're just asking for an email address? And B2B, or B2C?

The amount of info you ask for makes a huge difference in conversions. But if you're client prospecting, you need more than just an email.

I think FB has been pretty sloppy about putting these together. They don't look that sharp, and the forms can't even be edited.

It's B2C and we get name, email, phone and state.

I agree the forms are pretty primitive but they are working well enough for us.

Of course with FB ads it all comes down to targeting the right audience. In this
case I'm able to tightly target people who work in a specific industry with a pitch
to advance their career. That's why I've been able to get the lead cost so low.

We offer a download. Once a lead is brought in, then enter the sales funnel
which includes contacts from a sales rep.

Yea--I feel like my targeting is pretty on point. Like I said, my target audiences size is usually TINY. I use a combo of job titles, interests, and behavioral targeting.

I could do more with the ad creatives I suppose. Are you drawing up custom illustrations?

My ad creatives are pretty basic. Just stock images. I do like to use an image that includes text that will get their attention. But that is about it.
