Marketing A Classical Piano Studio and Concert

Question for you local and offline consulting experts.

My daughter has three (3) concerts coming up on 2016, these are solo concerts. The goal is threefold:

1) Rehearsal for a scholarship she'll be competing for in Jan. 2017
2) Attract new students to her (Classical) Suzuki method piano studio

They will be played at a venue that holds about 50-100.

Each of the concerts have a theme for different kinds of Classical Composers.

1.) Other than YouTube, Facebook and Facebook Ads...what other suggestions do you have for getting people to the concerts?

2.) Any thoughts on what can be tastefully done once people are at the concert(s) to get people interested in the studio?

    Charles,

You didn't mention event listings in your local paper. That's really important! Many people use that to plan their week's entertainment.

Also, if you have a classical music radio station in your area (large metropolitan areas generally do), they often announce local concerts on the air.

At the concerts, the studio should be mentioned in the program handed out to all attendees.

    Good luck to her!

Make friends with places that rent musical instruments to elementary shcool and high school students; advertise in their newsletter or in their store.

Around here, your kid says, Daddy, I wanna play the trombone in the school band, you don't just rush out and buy a trombone, you rent one... 3 or 5 payments later, your kids says, I changed my mind, I wanna play drums.

Anyway, those places do know quite a few of kids who're interested.

In addition, find a way to advertise with the local schools, at least make friends with the music teacher... If more than one, the one in charge of the band.

Around here, when the school bands have concerts, they print the schedule and list donors.... Well, it's the PTO's or Band and Orchestra Organization... But someone within / associated with the school prints a program... Maybe you could pay for the printing costs in exchange for them letting you put some info about yourselves on the programs.

Offer free first lessons to ideal clients. A good place to start is probably an expensive private school. You need a group of people who will pay a high price and keep coming back. As for how to advertise, this is going to either require hustle or cash, it's the kind of thing that passionate people do because they are passionate about it.

About the piano lessons though, there is a famous line in copywriting that goes something like this "They laughed when I sat down at the piano...but then I began to play!" You can take a look at that. I know nothing about this Suzuki (sp?) method, but an educational letter to ideal clients about how it is best complete with a free lesson offer could do great, and could make an assload of money if you have good retention rates.
