Lmao, you've been on here for 5 years but waiting a couple of hours for people to tell you what to do with a list is killing you? Do you seriously have no ideas of what one could sell to a list?

I know what a mailing database is. It isn't like you have something that nobody else has. Nobody can just tell you what to do with the list. What skills do you have? Are you good at selling via direct mail? If you can't even understand my replies you're going to have a hard time crafting messages for products or services that you can provide that will result in sales. Having a list means nothing. Anyone can get a list. What do you actually bring to the table beyond a list? Do you have skills that you could sell to businesses on that list? Do you have products that you could sell to them? Do you have money to obtain products or pay service providers? Have you looked into affiliate products that you could sell? What segment of the market in your list would you target. You have to be able to narrow things down.

    By selling them something...?

The list is too general to be making offers to. I suspect it would cost you more than you'd get back...

However, Sic code and sales volume is useful data to target JV partners... Doesn't matter where you are in the world - I have clients on the other side of the world... And IMHO it's easier to sell a JV than a product or service...

        JVs are simple in concept.

You find a business with a list of buyers. All businesses have a list of buyers - their customers.

You find one or more businesses with complimentary products.

You do a deal with both parties to offer a product to the list of known buyers in return for a commission on each sale.

As an example, Beachbody claim 20 million customers. If you got access to their customer list and made £10 per sale commission, just 1% response would give you 2 million quid in commissions...

I'd suggest to start you might want to aim more modestly in order to tune your deal making muscles...

animal44 can you please tell me how do you approach these potential partners? Can you give me some examples? links where I can learn how to do it properly?
I live in Europe and I want to get customers from all over the world if possible

I want to try this with my mobile website design service but from hundreds of emails I manually sent over the past several months & last year I got nothing but several responses with no people interested :|
I got my website down and working on it right now but as soon as I get it up I want to start again to look for consultants, agencies, seo guys who offer or not customs mobile design service to their clients to convince them to outsource the actual design to me.

Whenever you got some time and think you can help me feel free to write here or send me pm.

Of course I would do deals like you explained above, without actually having to provide any of the service, but I think it's a long road till I would get there right?

          Thank you very much

You don't need a lot of JV partners. A few lifetime partners should be sufficient. Imagine if you got a JV partner the size of Beachbody... I don't think you'd really need more JV partners... Could you handle 200,000+ orders all at once

Re getting a JV partner, an analogy would be getting a wife. Would you walk up to random women and ask them to marry you? Or worse, email them... Maybe you would... I'd be wanting to know a bit more about her before I'd even suggest a date. Maybe I'd ask mutual friends for an introduction... Then, if there's interest on both sides, you'd date a bit to try them on... That's (usually) how dating works. And I see something similar in getting lifetime JV partners. Do your research. Pick the businesses you want to work with. Then find a way to "get a date"...

I hope that's not too obscure for you...

I'd start locally. It's almost always easier to do a deal with someone local. Especially if they've already been a client. Note I failed miserably when I started my SEO business and I tried to JV with local web developers. I did however get two JVs with prospects who wanted me to do their SEO. It's important to find out what your potential JV partner wants. Once you know that, deals tend to fall into place.

One backdoor way is to produce something educational. Something that is useful. A whitepaper, course, ebook, which includes an offer. Then offer that to your potential partner. Customise the included offer for them "this offer specifically for customers of..." You might still have to sell the JV partner on why the whitepaper/course is useful, but this is probably easier than selling them on an endorsement.

Why? I started to work with a protege late last year teaching her how to do JVs and she's going great guns. Earned twice her annual salary in her first month. She is in her first job, no sales experience, no business experience. And she's still working in her full time job...

Hell, I learnt about JVs back in the 70's but it's taken me many years to realise that I could make a career out of just doing JV deals. If someone as dopey as me can make a success out of JVs, then anyone can...!

I haven't found a good JV course. So I'm attempting to create one myself Jay Abraham has a lot of stuff, not quite step by step blueprints, but his stuff certainly expanded my view of JVs. He gives a lot away for free, though as usual, the best tends to be in the paid for stuff.
