Lead sellers, do you tell your clients how you get the leads?

If they ask, do you vaguely say "from the Internet" or do you tell the specifics like URL, PPC, SEO, FB, etc.?

    on where they came from?

    Besides all four of those "methods" have different sales points ...

    The short answer is "yes", be specific and use those specifics to your advantage on price.

    The Long answer ... is don't worry about them duplicating the process
    and cutting you out. They don't have the time or experience necessary to
    make it happen.

      @kenmichaels I'm looking to target this customer who doesn't do PPC but is a few pages away in the SERPs. They have decent website/CTA already. My hunch tells me they are capable of duplicating the process if I spill the beans. Do you think I should look for another potential customer that has no website or is totally clueless?

        That's a double edged sword ... clueless people generally don't know they need leads.
        --- So if you go after them you will need to adjust your pitch.

        But your right, those others may just go after it themselves ...

        If it were me, I think I would make my mind up on a per basis.

        I trust my gut instincts, do you? If so, I am pretty sure that is how
        I would handle it ..

    What kind of leads are you trying to sell?
    I have been selling leads since the 90's, I might
    have experience in the type you're trying to sell
    and can point you in a better direction ...
