How many times do you cold call a number that did not pick up the first time?

I just realized that I have been in a loop this week cold calling businesses that never pick up the phone. I have probably called them 5 times now.

What is your cut off for call backs?

    If you have an unlimited list to call, I wouldn't call more than twice.

    if they have caller ID, and your number doesn't change, they may never pick up when you call.

    I would call 3 times before I sent out a letter if I had the information. This is how I used to run my business 3 calls at different times in the day then a letter or card. Then if no reply drop them. Robert
