If you're like me on your rank and rent/lead gen website you provide two ways for prospective customers to get in touch with your clients. One being a redirect telephone number and the other a web-form, but how much business are you losing because your client doesn't check their email often enough?
I could see my clients were getting web form enquiries but I know they weren't converting enough of them and that was costing me money, the deal I have is a small lead gen fee plus a percentage of the job.
I decided to do a survey of those web form enquiries to see why they didn't buy, or in some cases didn't even get a quote, what I learned was shocking and more to the point it was costing me a shit load of cash.
I know I am guilty of this as well but if I call an offline business and they don't reply within 30 seconds I hang up, If I fill in a web form I expect a reply within an hour. So If I am doing this I know a lot of those people filling in my lead gen web forms are doing exactly the same thing.
What I needed was some way for those web form leads to get to my client and for my client to get back to the prospects before anyone else did.
A friend of mine told me about a method he was using where every time a web form was submitted on his website an email was sent to the client with the prospective customer's details but at the same time a text message was sent to the client to let them know he had a new lead. The best thing was all I needed was a gmail & Twilio account with no special software to buy.
I put in place this technique and in the first thirty days my extra income from this method went up by over $5K in commission now my client was getting back to the prospects within ten minutes of the enquiry.
