How much traffic should a local lead squeeze page see before getting conversion?

Gentlemen,

I am sending traffic to a local lead gen squeeze page at a rate of 10 clicks per day. So far I have had no opt ins. My question is how many clicks should I hit the page with before I start making changes to improve the opt in rate?

The pixel I am using has had traffic across it but not this type. So is it possible the pixel may need time to educate itself?

I guess what I am asking is to those of you with experience with this, is there a general rule of thumb you go by before you know the page is a dud.

Thanks

So many things influence conversion rate, I don't think it's wise to take the approach that if you don't get X opt-ins per Y clicks that the page is a "dud". It might be an otherwise fine page that just needs a tweak or two. How many days have you been sending it traffic for anyways?

Why not split the traffic and A/B two versions of the page simultaneously rather than waiting for X amount of clicks to come and go before testing anything? Even landing pages with excellent conversion benefit from A/B testing.

      Thank your for your answers.

The point I was trying to make from my email days was if I can get at least 30% I knew I was getting my money worth out of the traffic.

It's been three days and about 30-35 clicks no conversions. I have set up and A/B test so I will see how that goes. These leads are on Facebook if I didn't mention that.

There is no point in changing a campaign at all until at least 72 hours of it running. Facebook ads take this time to start performing optimally.

You need to ramp up your traffic by several orders of magnitude before you can even begin to determine whether or not your optin page is a dud. It could just be your source of traffic.

Back when I was doing this type of marketing (before I knew better), the stats were dismal. With "targeted" traffic, it generally took 1000-1500 hits to get one optin. But that's just the beginning. It took an average of 7-10 autoresponder messages to a list of 300 to get one sale.

There are lots of more efficient marketing methods.

Are you talking about generating leads for local businesses? If so, if it took you 1500 hits to generate a lead that is pretty awful going.

I was selling copiers and office supplies from Amazon to local businesses by brute force; driving massive quantities of traffic to that optin page.

I would be making big changes if I'd have 10 visits with no opt in.

Seriously you need to be split testing.

If your traffic is related to the niche and your offer is sound
then you should be getting opt ins immediately.

If you show us the page we'll be able to point you in the right direction and I'm betting there is something seriously wrong with the page you're using.
