How to find companies that advertise on billboard?

Hello everyone! Can you suggest a method how to find companies that advertise on billboards right now in a specific area in the USA aside from seeing billboards in person? (I do not live in the USA, so it does not work for me)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

      Google Maps is amazing. Any of you ever just go to random locations? Here's a place in the States that looks truly like a ghost town... Vaughn, New Mexico. Check it out.


      Also, was doing street view through Mexico City one time and noticed a dog on a roof of a building. No clue how he got up there! Crazy.

      Thanks for replying. That's a good idea and I have tried it myself, but pictures are usually several months old. If I can't find a better solution, that will be a good alternative to find companies that are currently advertising on billboards. I just have to hope that they are still advertising on them...

        I think regardless of age, the fact remains that any compnay that has used billboards before would probably do it again. Its just easier to sell to anyone that has bought before and has a history in buying.

    Will google ever update google earth and google maps? I can go to where I lived 5 years ago and still see my car sitting in the driveway...

    I followed up with a search for my current address - and it is totally up to date....shows a recent addition to the house - and current cars in the drive.


    I would think companies that advertise using billboards - do it as a routine part of their ad budget. I've noticed the same ads month after month - and the same companies advertising on billboards year after year.


    The date may not be as critical as you might think. It's a place to start...



    I wonder if billboard advertising is common for certain types of business so that a few ads might lead you to canvass anyone in that type business as potential customer.

    For starters you can Google: companies that advertise on billboards in [insert city and state] eg. Nashville TN
    Next, Select 'images' and you will see some of the billboards in Nashville, Tennessee.


    Some of the billboards may be dated. The good news is the companies that can afford billboard advertising are likely to still be in business.
