Best inexpensive phone number company for lead generation

I am going to start working on lead generation for local businesses. I plan to pay for a different number for each business I do lead generation for that has tracking whisper and records the calls. I plan to put ads up in search engines and have the number forwarded to the service provider and the call tracking information would help me know how much to charge the service provider for the leads.

What company do you recommend? I have seen one person here mention Twilio. I will look into that company. Does anyone else have any more recommendations? Looking for inexpensive but good.

Twilio is practically the standard nowadays since a lot of programs use their API to add any features that you'd want. SignalWire is another one that is actually cheaper than Twilio. I haven't used it yet but am going to start adding some numbers there to test soon.
