Trade shows cancelled

In relation to this - https://www.warriorforum.com/ecommer...e-however.html - more trade shows are cancelled due to the coronavirus scare.

Google and Microsoft recently cancelled two major conferences; Google's Cloud Next and Microsoft's MVP Summit. Both events will become virtual conferences instead.

Facebook did the same, pulling out of the SXSW conference. The SXSW itself, however, will still push through.

What about you? Any future trade shows you're mulling to attend because of the COVID scare?

I have an annual show for a client that I go to in August in Las Vegas. I don't really want to miss that one

Registration has already been delayed twice from early Feb to early Mar and now end of March.

I wonder how far they can push it back before pulling the plug. Seems like its a long way off, however its a huge event that draws around 20,000 people with about 1/4 from China and Asia-Pac countries.

@smedia11 What ended up happening with the trade show? Are they still holding out for the real deal, or given into digitization.

One thing i wonder about with this: if knowledge workers are to be semi permanently/permanently more scattered now with remote work policies taking root across bigger %s of companies (even beyond COVID, if some reports are to be believed), could in-person conferences actually wind up becoming *more* necessary / essential in the coming years?
