Where to find brokers / introducers?

Hi,

Does anyone here have any experience or tips on finding brokers / introducers in the USA for a commission-only financial product?

(edit) I am looking for feedback from anyone who may have done so successfully.

Thanks

Linkedin is a good place. Events financial advisors and estate attorneys and accountants go to is another way.

Thanks for your reply. We are in the early stages of some LinkedIn tests.

Regarding the events that financial planners/accountants/attorneys would normally attend, it's slightly more difficult because both I and the company are based in the UK, so most of the recruiting will need to be done virtually.

(Yes, I know this is the OFFLINE forum, but the quality of responses tends to be better in this section...)

Have you considered having an office or representative in the US? You are selling financial 'instruments' - an area often regulated by law. Is this a consideration?

Could be wrong -but I would think experienced commission only reps would have reservations about selling financial packages from outside the US.

I would think advertising in financial trade publications and on financial sites might work to some extent but potential liability might be an issue. Also perhaps targeting those who sell various financial products already - they might be interested in adding another product to their offerings.

      Thanks for your reply.

You are correct in that financial instruments are regulated, usually by the SEC in the USA, and by the FCA here in the UK. In this instance, this financial product is provided by a property (real estate) company, so it is not fully regulated.

Thanks again for your input, plenty more stuff to think about!

These people have some online events for financial planners: https://www.financialplanningassociation.org/search/event.

Maybe you can pay them to introduce you to their members?

        There's also this: https://www.kitces.com/master-list-t...s-ranked-best/

Did not check to see if any are online... but it gives the contact info of organizers... You may be able to work something out with them.

And, then, there's their national association: https://www.napfa.org/about-us.
