Playing Audio On A Phone Call

I want to start doing some some cold calling, but I want to be able to play my recorded pitch at the beginning of the call, and then chime in live after I hear their response. I'm having a hard time finding something that is just that simple. The phone rings, the person answers the phone, I hit play, my opening pitch is played, if they are positive I chime in, if they are a dick I hang up. Anything out there to help with this?? Thanks...

You have to test different introductions to see which method resonates best .

So someone reacts negatively to getting a cold call that opens with a recorded pitch - and they're the dick?

Obviously, there's AI stuff out there that can do robocalls...

I get these calls, and when I do I hang up.

Nothing really screams scam more than a recorded message as soon as you answer the phone...

although in most cases it's not as soon as you answer the phone. There's usually a few seconds delay which immediately tips you off.

It's not going to sound like a robot. It's going to be me delivering a very natural warm pitch, and just a few lines. If they sound positive I chime in with the rest of my pitch. If not, I say have a nice day. Seems so simple.

Most private citizen types don't even answer their phones anymore,
for various reasons like they have several phones or they just don't
    want to be bothered.

I heard you have to text people to schedule a call these days.

If you are telephoning an actual business, you might get lucky and
get a live person that's not an answering service.

IMO if what you are selling isn't worth your time making the call,
or hiring someone else, then it's probably not worth buying.

And people are definitely NOT going to buy from someone with
    a crappy attitude.

I'm talking about delivering the beginning of the script prerecorded. It will sound very natural, and I am right there to chine in. I guess there isn't a tool for this?

I think of automated calls - recorded calls - as being used in order to MAKE thousands of calls without having a person present. If you are 'right there' why not just make cold calls yourself?

If there is a way to do what you want it would probably be a recorded call where the person called would, for example, "press #1 for more information". At that point the call would quickly switch to a real person who could pick up immediately and continue the sales call at that point. I don't know if that is possible but seems like it would work and it may be in use for all I know.

I've read the average conversion rate for cold calling is 2% - and may be higher depending on how well you've targeted the market for the product. So it would be extremely time consuming for you to personally be listening/waiting on each call...ready to step in.

Would be better if you placed, say, 1000 robo calls...and were there to answer those that wanted more information (about 20 calls).

Most recorded calls kick in after you say 'hello' the second time - it's pretty much a giveaway that is a 'cold' call. I've asked around today and found people I know react just the way I do....they may not answer unknown numbers at all...and if they do, the moment they realize it's a sales call, they hang up.

If you are selling a highly specialized product/service to a carefully chosen audience...your results may be above the norm. You won't know until you try.

Some VoIP applications like RingCentral or Zoiper also support recording and playing back an automatic greeting during calls. You can set up your introduction and then decide whether to continue based on the customer's response.
