Funny you ask that question, I was just going over in my head last night all the different offline options there are. There are the main 5 or 6, then there seems to be a million variations of those main categories.

I am curious to see what people's responses to this question are.

Mine would be SEO and Social Media.

Hiring others to telemarket for me, this way you can control the numbers... supervise them either in house or remotely. Sell services., design a pitch that converts a desired number reliably, and scale out after you determine the reliable numbers that can be expected per 100 calls.

If I wanted to go fulltime offline... thats what I would do.

    GIVE!

Write a book on something you have a skill in and get it published.

Get your website sorted with some good content people can actually use.

Get an autoresponder set up and write a valuable ebook to give away to people who visit your website.

Get a local marketing video to wow your potential clients.

Research business and potential markets in your area, who is already spending money on spray and pray? (You can do more targeted marketing than that using your skills and it means they are already spending cash so can pay you more).

Send those potential clients a DVD catered to their business on what they should be doing, a gift basket that is unique or even a postcard and direct them to your free ebook.

    Simples! ;D

Writing a book is a good one.

I've had a lot of success with local meetups. Small events that CEOs and decisions makers go to. Notably, CEOSpace events.

Let me tell you, the person talking about Internet marketing in the room can clean up...

So many website designers and internet marketers for businesses seem to hide under a rock. Going out and being social, meeting with people in person goes a LONG way in getting yourself towards a sale

As far as how to approach the prospect, anything you can do to get them to guide the conversation, so you can interject when appropriate and frame your offer to them.

We hand out about 1000 to 2000 flyers a week. Our AdSense earnings are a lot more stable now and growing nicely.

We've used newspaper ads and those worked okay. We tried radio ads too but those sucked. In retrospect the radio ads were a dumb idea but hey, at least we tried.
