Build your own list or use someone else's. (Offline Marketing)

When I started my Internet Marketing career 12 years ago it was always build your list as the money was in the list.

The trouble was and still is to get a great responsive list.

One of the things I was taught is to either spend time building your own or use other peoples.

It seems the latter is not talked about so much these days however is a great way to get a more responsive bunch of people.

Over the last few months we have been working with a offline company helping promote their products and developing new online strategies for them.

This week we asked if they would email their list about our services and Kaboom more work with no real effort.

The moral of the story is treat your customers well as they can build lists of other businesses you would never reach any other way.

A recommendation from the owner is worth thousands of dollars.

Are you treating your customers as a potential for thousands of dollars worth of work or going for the quick dollars?

    Hi Quentin,

You are right on the money. I have a friend who doesn't even consider himself an Internet Marketer. He somehow got a big music CO. to include his ad in one of their mailings. He woke up to several thousands of dollars in sales the final tally being $30,000.

He asked if he could do it again and they said no it was just a one time favor they did for him because he helped them out. Nice Favor.
