Hey Offliners,

I was doing some research online about creative ways to sell to offline businesses.

I found this article and I realized that a lot of it wouldn't apply to a lot of businesses. However, I thought about it some more (trying to salvage the time I invested in reading it) and I started thinking of ideas that were modifications of the "creative ideas" that were listed.

So...if you're up for thinking a bit and seeing how this could help...check this little swipe file of creative ideas. Not all are applicable but you can probably come up with some good ideas for your clients' businesses.

    As crazy as some of those seem to be, they can be affective. Not so much for a Offline Consulting biz with some of them, but they can work.

    Number 13 may sound crazy, but it stuck out to me because my mom makes crafts, purses, and handbags on the side and she gave away a couple for the prizes and ended up selling a lot to the other people who were at the bingo hall. So, as wierd as that one and some others may sound, they can work in general, some obviously don't apply to the offline consulting biz though.

      Like you point out though, these could be starting points for a consultant to suggest new stuff for free/cheap to offline clients.

      Low-hanging fruit if you will.

      Then sell them the more expensive stuff. I kind of though this stuff wasn't for the consultant necessarily to build his business but rather a starting point for the consultant to suggest ideas to the client.

      Ya never know where inspiration can come from I guess.

      haha... Chad - either we're brothers and never knew it or your mom and mine would get along great! Almost verbatim, right down to the bingo hall. She's very talented. I'm always trying to convince her to let me help her grow her business online, but she's pretty old school about the authenticity and relationship with her craft projects.

        That's pretty funny, maybe there's some strange connection between "crafty" moms and internet marketing sons. Same with my mom, she keeps it pretty old school as well, she likes to make money with it, but enjoys doing it more than anything I think.
