Going Offline sometimes makes you earn more

Hi Guys,

Just sharing some views here.. everyone who has indulge in internet marketing have great potential to earn bigger income by helping offline brick and mortar businesses to change the way they market.

With your experience and knowledge in IM plus all the skills in website design, SEO, Article Marketing, product creation, it is easy to sell the idea and your service.

Start talking with your community and friends, and send flyers to your local business neighborhood. Place your flyers or business card on car wipers in hypermarkets, print cheap banners about your service, buy local newspaper ad placement, walk to business district and give your handouts.

If there is a business seminar in your hometown about MLM, Insurance, or just any business, join them and sent your flyers and state your best webbiz package offer. Their mindset is ready to start and 'spend' for their business to grow.. It is best to be alert when these kind of seminars is in town. - put your business card at their wipers as well.

I remember setting up a website for personal insurance and financial planning site for one of my friends, i end up with another business with setting the website for the agency - and of course, it pays more.

With local businesses it is much easier to rank, because most of them are looking for services or product in nearby area. So most of your SEO works will be about ranking in local markets -for example, plumbing works in denver or victoria.

Local businesses needs your expertise! Start designing your flyers and sent them your best offer. And if you're stuck with some of the chores, your offline fees is enough to hire a warrior.

All the best!

Great post, Shah. It is all about thinking outside of the box and making your presence known to the local business community. You should have the mindset of wanting to help local business owners, and by giving first and being helpful you'll be surprised at the amount of business you'll ultimately be able to drum up. There is no need to do a big sales pitch, just be helpful with them and make them aware that you possess the knowledge to help them in expanding their presence on the internet.

Shah, I'd like to add and expand to your title. I'd say that starting off, marketing IM services offline can bring you very quick and immediate results in terms of income, whereas doing plain IM takes much longer in general when it comes to generating income, especially when doing affiliate marketing. Going offline is a great way to get meaningful and tangible income very quickly!

I still do pretty well from offline, however I must warn readers that it's not easy. You WILL get frustrated with timewasters, and people who just haven't got the basic intelligence to understand what you're offering. That said, excellent results can be achieved.

The best advice I can give to anybody thinking of offering services to offline customers is to brush up on your sales skills. Read books on the subject, get all the training you can, so that you're tuned in and prepared to get the most out of every sales opportunity. Walking into a restaurant and getting to speak with the owner is an achievement in itself - Having excellent sales skills will vastly improve your chances of walking out of there with a deal.

From coaching over 1000 people for a few years I've realized the biggest problem many of our clients have:

A lot of internet marketers have a real hard time selling their stuff as they feel insecure being some kind of salesperson.
Even the best of all have this problem going on, it's not a lack of their skills, but a lack of the right mindset.

The problem is people always focusing on the HOW to make money, but forget mindset is crucial.

I tell you, I don't know ANY SEO for example and you would crush me with your skills, but when it comes to charging the right prices, going out there and offering as much as you can and actually making BIG money, even the pro's would get their problems.

The market is SO unsaturated when it comes to feeding offline businesses online marketing services, I still can't believe it (and I fly around the whole world and get to know businesses all over the globe, it's almost the same right now in ANY country).

There's REALLY NO reason not to get heavy into the offline world for any skilled online marketer, but you have to get the balls to talk to businesses straight up. I've seen dimwits charge five digits stuff for doing some basic SEO I am sure 99% of all SEO guys over here would STOMP them. Why could they charge the big bucks? Because they understood mastering the art of selling results and no boring packages etc. Business owners mostly just don't care about the details, they want leads, more customers, money, that's it.
I run through this stuff a few times every week, no joke. People that know less about their profession cash in WAY more than really skilled people. It's crazy!

From my experience I would recommend many internet marketers to partner with a salesperson or just anybody that is not about the profession, but business in general, that's always a nice kick in the butt.

Totally agree, I earn about 60% of my income from Offline Marketing to Retail Businesses, the rest I earn from affiliate marketing of Internet Education Products. They both have their Pro's and Con's but you can create a nice 6 figure income just from Offline Marketing.

    Example of this is:

An online guy will charge you $60 for a 500 backlink package at best. But an offline client will $1.00 per back link.

An online guy will build you a 5 page website (basic) for $150.

But an offline client will pay you $800 for the same site.

2 telemarketers and a closer costs $240.00 per day. They pull 5 sales per day...

    Add it up!

An offline guy can make 10k plus residuals while you are still waiting for your online funnell to send you $300.00!

I think everynow and then it is worth moving from one sector to another, because what has become simple and common in one sector is novel and adds value in another.

However having done alot of work in offline marketing it has its own challenges too pulling 5 sales per day is no mean feat, and you have plenty of obligations based upon taking on the employees.

    No pain no gain
