Something super easy for you newbies. Easy offline money with Blogs.

I can’t sleep so I thought I would write you guys/gals about how you can get started making some easy cash offline. Don’t judge me if this doesn’t make sense lol. So…before I started online, I started building websites for offline businesses. No I didn’t go to school for design, I just read about it online and practiced.

Anyways, I was never extremely creative at designing websites, but I was getting really good at installing WordPress blogs and customizing existing themes. I thought if I could help offline business with installing a proper blog for them, how much could I charge? I came up with $99 plus taxes which seemed to work. So who did I target? EVERYONE! When I was looking for companies to approach, I found that many of them didn’t have a blog in place. So where did I find these businesses? Yellow pages, Craigslist, billboards, newspaper, etc… basically everywhere you look there is a url to someones website.

Now the fun part, how to contact them properly… honestly email. Majority of the sites had a email that I could write to. Once I found their email on their site, I would customize an email stating that they are missing an important factor and that I would be able to help. Pretty easy don’t you think? Get the picture? Just think outside the box and you will find a way. This is just one of my stories that brought in easy money for me by doing less then an hours worth of work. Make a plan and stick to it!

Been there and done that since 1997 (that's when I opened m Internet consulting company).

The next question you will need to answer for your customers is why they needed a Web site in the first place. It might be a simple question with a simple answer, but you will loose that new customer to someone like me if you don't provide the correct answer for them.

    Good luck!

Michael, this sounds like a fantastic opportunity. Since you are sharing one of your income sources with us, I hope you won't mind answering a few detailed questions.

Are you targeting local businesses? If so, do you meet with the business owners once they are interested in your blog creation service?

Do you create a subdomain for the blog (hxxp://companyblog.companywebsite.com) or is it in a folder (hxxp://companywebsite.com/companyblog)? Do you work with their webmaster to get the blog onto their site? Or do you just hand it over to their webmaster? Or do they give you user name and password to their site?

Do you use free themes? Do you use fancy headers and logos?

    Thanks.

What type of success rate did you have?

When you approach them with the idea of a blog, don't most business owners look at you (metaphorically speaking) and say, "A who?"

Also, did you find more success with certain types of businesses (e.g. larger businesses or certain industries, etc.)?
