Who is your favorite business to target?

I prefer restaurants myself. I haven't had success with chiropractors. They all say they get calls and emails "like this" all the time about IM services.

Those are the only two I've tried so far.

I don t like restaurants because their site needs a lot of stuff and frequent updates. Osteopath and taxi are good targets for us at the moment

Automobile mechanics, home inspectors, small specialty stores.

They answer their own phones, know something about advertising (or at least can make that decision) and don't need a partner's meeting and proposal to make a decision.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

        Claude,

That is one of the niches I am working with. Though, I admit I'm not as successful as I'd like to be in this niche (I spent 7 years in the business, as a mechanic before getting into internet and offline marketing), I was hoping you wouldn't mind sharing some insight into what services you offer and how you prospect. I either walk right in and ask to speak to the owner or send an email with a video outlining my services.

        To answer the OP,

As mentioned I do automotive based businesses and I also go for real estate offices, I worked in RE for a short period of time.

Been trying to branch out to all different types of niches but so far, this is where I've found my success.

        Rock n Roll is BACK!

Best piece of advice I've ever received... "Listen, just shut the F*#^ up and listen!" (Because there's always going to be people who have been doing what you do/ want to do for much longer. Shut up, listen to them and learn from them)

It depends what types of services you are offering but I generally don't target specific types of biz ... I look for the ones that are spending money already on marketing and how I can help them get better results.

I speak to associations of auto service businesses. Brakes, tires, and the rest. Nearly all of them belong to some referral group, local meeting, or are friends with other owners. Referrals are common. I like to work locally.

I create videos (at their location is better), a website, help with their Google Plus local listing, and post articles that actually show up on Google. But what I supply is immaterial. There is no magic combinations of services.

I know a guy that only builds website, and only for auto repair shops. He charges $200 a month, with a 12 month commitment.

If I were you, I'd offer to do one guy's website (and other serfvices) for a greatly reduced fee. Then get referrals from him, and use those websitesas models for other clients.

Pray you humble yourself as the OP speaks!

... now, the issue isn't in the "who", but in the "how"...

Once one understands "how", then the world shall rest at thy feet.

But he who hath no clue will be shunned and left only with his fruitless notepad, in which he hath written the names of "who" to contact...

Go forth my children, and seek the truth..

    Fare thee well,

This is the third post of yours I've read today. It makes a quiet chilly Sunday afternoon more fun. Thanks.

I was thinking of becoming The Alabaster Tallywhacker. A superhero, bent on rescuing fair maidens from certain boredom. What say you?

I just once, before I'm gone...want to have a criminal look up into the moon lit rooftops and say "Egad! It's The Alabaster Tallywhacker and his sidekick Whipper Snapper!"

Then, I could rest in peace.
