Do you have a website?

I'm wondering how many of us offliners have websites for our business.

If not, why?

I do, and it gets me business; plus its good to put up your portfolio on it!

    Yep! (sig )

I just built another site for another venture that I'm entering... although a site isn't "necessary" I think a well-built site will bring in clients.

Awesome looking website--I really have to build myself one--one of these days. I build and flip websites and have yet to build my own!! Maybe I should hire someone from WF I'm looking to get into offline marketing as well and should really have one. I just keep putting it off I guess.

Thanks... I'm going to change those out soon for some new images

Thanks for the kudos... I need to rebuild my web design business site, but I have built 2 brand new sites for my other 2 business ventures. My web biz site was built in ColdFusion, and I want to rebuild it with WP. Problem is I have some ColdFusion apps that I built on the domain, and if I install PHP I'll kill the CF functionality.

I may need to buy a new domain name for my web biz

        Oh well... decisions decisions.

I have about 10 sites now covering a large area where I live and the surrounding area. Some of them are location focused, others are niche focused and then I have my main business site as well.

It's highly important to have a website, especially if you're selling website related services. You'll look stupid if you say to someone "hey, let's build you a website" and then you can't show them your own business site as a reference.

Aside from that, it's an easy point of reference for your potential clients to read more about you, people can see your portfolio, it's all part of building that personal relationship with your client.

As a business owner, if I wanted a new website, I wouldn't hand over a penny to an individual or a company who didn't have their own website.

Yeah - but I haven't even had the time to tweak it. I actually threw one
up using suggestions from an offline course. I managed to get it up to
page 2 in Google and never messed with it again.

I get my clients from direct contact: email, phone, referrals, etc.

I keep "thinking about" improving the site, but never make the time.

A Website is absolutely essential no matter what business you're in.

Yep, have a website although it is fairly new. I would feel hypocritical selling online marketing services if I did not have a website. It also helps to convert prospects when they want to think about it before deciding. By leaving a business card or leaflet with your website they can always check you out a bit more before deciding.

Yes you must have a web site. It is an essential part of your business on line. This is how I get my traffic. I actually have a few now in different niches.
