If you have multiple clients, Is it advised/required to open a new Google account for each client's place page?

Thanks!

I agree, separate accounts. Set up one account per customer to manage their places, Analytics etc. Easy to "divorce" them if you want to and it doesn't upset the rest of your accounts.

one account per client is recommended as it helps you too to properly manage the things. And it's also good for Google as we never know what is will do and when. I have different accounts but for same campaign I use same account for three sites as it is from same client.

Thank you all for the answers, but one more thing maybe ...

When opening a new Google account and Google asks for an email address and phone number, do you use the client's email address and phone number as well or do you use your own and change/update this later on?

I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question.

It's not a stupid question at all....

I do it differently depending upon how we structured the payment. If it's a one time activity and I've already collected at least 50% of the fee, then I'll use their email address and phone number.

If we're setting this up as part of an ongoing project that they are paying a monthly fee for, I will new email address and a Google Voice number that are both forwarded to the client. That way if the monthly payments stop the forwarding stops.

Does this offline marketing helps in getting traffic? How much it is needed to be done per month? I have a site of Mercedes Parts and I want to do for it. Can you help me regarding this?

John, I like your approach. Can you validate the Google Places listing with the Google Voice No? I've never tried that. Thanks

having a multiple accounts in google is very important for me i can set as a recovery email on different accounts. Then i can retrieve it so easily.

They are free, so why not?

Also, if a client cancels, they can have all their accounts and you don't have to worry about them accessing other clients info.

For clients I normally start a new Google & Gmail account if they don't have it already.

I then use those details for everything - Twitter, Facebook, webhosting and all the other tools / services I use for them - including Google Places.

I keep a Word document listing everything so it is all organised and in one place.
