    Thanks for the help,

I bought Jesse Kemmerer's course a while back, it was called Offline Power Course. I liked it, you get alot of content for the price, another good one that I have personally bought and liked is by Kate Buck, that one is called Let's Get Social . I am not an affiliate for either of these programs, they are ones that I personally bought and have gone through, both are quality programs. I hope this helps you get off to a great start!

Like anything else, buy and study several (see Offliner WSO's) and then PUT YOUR OWN SPIN on it.

Jim Rohn always said, "Be a student, not a follower."

You can do that, after you find some success with the methods laid out.

Doctors don't add their own spin to fixing a broken arms. They follow the steps and procedures outlined by those before them.

      Try it.

      Have some success.

      Then add your own twist.

Yeah, that was a better way of saying it. Your LGT free video would be a good start for him.

Best thing to do is study up quickly, but then take action asap!

Heard good things about Tim Castleman from Dennis Becker. I don't know if he has a course, but he did have an interview with Dennis that people raved about.

      Are you taking about this?

      Easy Offline Marketing System

Dennis has discounted the offer until Saturday if it is something you're interested in.

I think he is doing a dime sale where the price goes up 10 cents after every sale.

        Hey mogulmap,

I try to buy most decent wso's on offline marketing anywhere I can find them, like in any profession you try to stay up on any idea that could be decent - it's about education.

Tim Castleman has some solid info in his offline offers that you can follow and it will make you some money if you follow his outline. The one that comes to mind is the "4 minute postcard" but I have bought I think all his offers on offline marketing. I like his copy.

For continuous on going info, software apps all around bang for your buck to benefit you I would say Jack Mize " Offline X Factor" if you can still get in.

Learn from the best. Want to play golf? Learn from Tiger Woods. Want to fight in a cage? Spar with Anderson Silva.

The best offline marketers to my mind is Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy and Gitomer. The core skills you need are:

    *How to set up Joint Ventures;
    *How to barter;
    *How to use risk reversal;
*A firm understanding of direct marketing
*How to sell (the numero uno skill you MUST have to start a consulting firm)[no sales = no clients = no income = no business]
    *Upselling
    *How to test

    A good start would be:

*Mr X book (397$) [All of Jay's techniques]
*Mastermind Marketing, get it for pennies on the dollar on ebay
    *The Sales Bible
*Advances Coaching and Consulting by DK

    Good luck

Everyone wants to jump right into offline marketing. And, indeed it is very profitable just like any other type of sales.

The thing is, people forget...this is sales!

When I first got started I got all my ducks in a row (or so I thought). I had my LLC. I had my business cards.

I found teams of people to do design, write articles and press releases, found all the best article directories, found all the best places to distribute press releases. I formed teams of people to do the social bookmarking and on-page and off-page SEO.

In all I have around 35 people organized who do the work.

It was then that I realized this business is about *SELLING*

All my preconceived notions about what I would do for these people went right out the window in just a few days of cold calling.

Jane the Realtor, Tom the Lawyer, Jack the Surgeon, and Joe the Plumber have not one damned idea what you are talking about with your fancy online marketing schemes.

At first, they don't care about what you can do for them. They only know about what they want right now. They have their own ideas about marketing and working online.

I can bet you 100% of the time their ideas are different from yours. And guess what? Their ideas win because they have the checkbook.

They have built their business themselves, and you MUST respect that.

The key is to learn what THEY want to do online, and make it happen for them in a big way. Take THEIR desires and make them profitable.

Think you know how to market online? Prove it! Give them what they want and make it profitable.

It will take awhile with most business owners before they come to you and ask YOU what they should do.

They each have their own network of advisers whom they trust and you aren't in it yet. Hell, I have family members that I do work for. They know this is my area of expertise. They know I know this stuff inside and out. And yet, they still chose their direction from their friends and associates.

Now, don't get me wrong...they know that whatever IM subject they want to pursue they can come to me and I will give them the real scoop on how to make it work. It's just that they are choosing what to do next via a network that I am not part of most of the time.

So, after all that typing, here is what I wanted to say.

Don't focus on what you want to sell them. Don't focus on what your customers might need.

Instead, learn to sell. And by "sell" I mean learn to connect with them at their point of need. Talk to them about their business. Care about what they need. They know their needs FAR better than you do.

Once you are able to connect with the business owner and he knows you will help him with HIS plans, he will pay you.

That's probably theee best advice I've seen posted for beginners. All I can add is your prospect wants leads, the phone to ring -- they'll ALL say yes to that -- and then listen to THEM (even if they're way off target-- think Dale Carnegie)

Tim Castleman has a great course - it goes over 4-5 weeks and is totally inclusive.

Not only that I love Tims no BS approach and the fact he will stay and help beyond the 'time' as such.

Go to TimothyCastleman.com and hit him up as Im not sure how to get the course any other way although Im sure its on his site somewhere!

I would certainly have to recommend Andy Henry's course Offline Insights (http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...800-month.html).

Great product, loads of ideas, packed full of help and advice and gave me confidence which is what I really needed. I purchased this product because I am heading in that direction in life and I know and trust Andy and have met him in person.

Seriously think about it. Go for the Gold package its well worth the extra and only $37. Don't think its a step by step guide. Its a tool to make you believe that things are possible and how to change your mindset. I'm buzzing as I listening to it while a work!!! :-)

    Good luck with it!!!

It also comes with some 1 on 1 coaching, which is invaluable.

This place you mentioned is based in Ghanna and wants you to pay via wells fargo. Thats a major red flag for me. Have you actually purchased from them?

I've always thought the University Of Hard Knocks gives you the fastest education.

Ultimately selling your services to offline businesses is not that complex so be wary of the ridiculous claims you'll find for courses and products (in particular claims that you won't have to talk to anyone or that a strategy will get your foot in the door).

As has already been said here you are going to have learn how to speak to business owners if you want paying clients.

Your business will hinge on the relationships you build with business owners...whether they hire you or not (many people forget that a good percentage of your best referrals can come from business owners who never hire you but trust you because you've taken the time to get to know them).

As far as all the courses go be aware that everyone comes into this business with a different set of skills and different background and live in different cities with different business dynamics and circumstances.

If someone is selling you one lead generation strategy or one strategy to help a business to make money then there's a good chance it won't work all that well for you.

That doesn't mean the idea doesn't have value but your chances of success will be far higher if whatever program your join gives you constant feedback and is run by someone (or a team of people) who've had a wide range of experience with marketers from many different cities and countries and skill sets using multiple different strategies to help businesses.

The people who understand the business are going to talk a whole lot more about taking the time to get to know business owners and their business and being committed to making a business real sales and profits whatever strategy you use.

With a bit of objective thought you should be able to discern who is genuinely committed to helping you build a real business.

        Kindest regards,
        Andrew Cavanagh

As business slows down here next month, perhaps I will launch it by end of December/early January.

I read on a post from November 1st, I believe, advising you to purchase Jack Mize's Offline X Factor. I strongly discourage it, as a lot of methods could be considered black hat and will get your clients listing removed from Google!
As far as good offline marketing courses.... it depends on what you want to offer....
Drew Laughlin offers a good course on selling websites. It is about $50.
Another good guy is Chris Ramsey as stated somewhere above.
