Offline JV - Here's my plan

Hello

I'm having a meeting with a local accountant who is looking for customers.

Here's my plan:
----------------
Instead of trying to sell my services to him, I want to team up with him.

I'll get him the customers and he will recommend me to anyone who is signing up with them.

I'm going to tell him that I normally charge up to $1000 per month for my services (the SEO, the G Places, YOutube, Etc).

But as a JV of mine he is going to get credits for each the customers he reffers to me (whether it's web development, SEO, anything), he gets a $200-$500 credit so the monthly payments goes down. In those months he does not refer the payment stays high...

I'm still figuring out the details

Any ideas? Any additional things I should think?

I'm in a hurry, the meeting is within 24 hours.

I've done many presentations to companies and have got some gigs, but never suggested a JV like this?

Please respond, any help is appreciated!

Working on a JV basis with offline businesses that are in the B2B sector is a win win situation.

I've never worked with them in the way you suggest, however i have JV'd with Accountants, Printers etc in promoting my seminars to their clients.

By using endorsed mailings for low cost or free seminars you can easily fill a room of attendees where you can pick up clients.

It can be a good approach. The joint seminar idea that Riz gave you is also a good idea.

If you get good results with your accountant client, you may also approach him about mailing an endorsement letter to his list. However, before your meeting to discuss this, prepare your endorsement letter and give it to him, so that he doesn't have to do any work. All he has to do is edit it a bit and send it off.
