Are there certain industries that seek SEO services more than others? I know companies that have a heavy online presence will but are there trends in certain industries?

there are certain services that are more then others but when it comes down to it most would love to have leads come in from their site with little to no effort on their part

Example - Real estate agents, general contractors, dentists, night clubs, car shops

Others no so much - therapists ? (who knows maybe there is but not something I would do) dog walker, etc .

Redcell is absolutely right - I don't want to give away all my secrets, but think about industries where there are few repeat customers and, as a result, LOTS of need for new leads. Those guys love it, especially guys who are already spending money on PPC.

Most people trying to sell you courses on how to do offline marketing will tell you yes, however we have been doing it for 10 years and covered a huge number of industries.

It really has more to do with the management of the business rather than the business itself.

We have done from tire outlets to funeral homes to manufacturing to retail stores.

Everyone has the potential I don't care how you cut it...

    But...

My experience has been that people that provide a service are more inclined to take me up on the offer.

Maybe that is because I specifically seek out the Service Business demographic.

They seem to be the easiest to close. For any marketng services.

there was a client who had his website in the search engines. it was useless and had no marketing aspect (lead capture and all that) i build a website and ranked it for the first spot and sold it to them for $1.8k -- they saw the value and they saved time. Awesome? I think I could probablly have gotten like $3k

  • I am thinking that this would work for businesses that have to give estimates. Because the lead will have NO problem leaving their contact details in an OPTIN FORM, for the business to call them back and finish the deal. They are less to just buy something at the moment, these people are expecting to talk to someone and that would be the moment where the business owner can sell himself and the service.

Some businesses like dentists and lawyers dont get that customer trying to get an estimate on a project. Maybe I am thinking about it differently, but I am going to target the business owner that provides a service that requires an estimate. Then I will move onto the other niches.

another idea I would recommend is going to your chamber of commerce meetings and see what type of businesses are out there? (I go to the big city ones since alot more people are there)

I try to keep things really simple instead over-complicating and over-thinking things.

Basically, if a business is advertising in a local newspaper or publication I contact them because they they are obviously wanting extra clients.

By doing your marketing this way you prevent paralysis and just get on promoting your business to everybody who potentially needs you.
