Warriors give me your feedback on this 'instructions' handout that I will leave in each vehicle that gets worked on in our shop.

This can be duplicated with a few words changed , so I could make one for each of my clients in their own niche. Give me any kind of changes you would suggest. , this one would be for glass tinting.

By chance will your flyers include images? As is may be complicated for some.

I have told some of my clients to email the direct link to them, along with offering a coupon or prize randomly picked from the people who provide reviews.

I also encourage them to rotate the review site, to spread their reviews amongst multiple local sites.

    Goodluck

I put links on the client website to different review sites and Google place. Client's customers can choose which review site to leave his testimonial on.

My Guess is you will get zero to nill responses to that flier, it will go into the trash can, your asking people to do back flips and hoola hoops all in one go, and thats all to hard in todays enviro, people are time poor and only concerned about the now, and you want them to take a bit of paper home, the dial in a search and then find xyz and then fill something out.

I am tired thinking about it.

Instead i would collect client details including email addresses, ( they will then have a PC connected to the net )

And i would fire an email to all clients after the shop work,

/\ now that is about the crappiest 2 second draft i have done but gives the idea, they go to the shop get home and there is a thank you email and a link to offer a quick review, not a do this, looking here, pressing that, jump here, and bounce onto this, just plain simple easy and one link to exactly where they need to go.

do not complicate it with wasted destructions, as most things are easy enough to do and if they can not work out to leave a reply they probably should not be driving and reading road signs.

I have to say I am in agreement with this one as I almost didn't even take the time to read after the first line. I know for a fact I might say I am going to do and even think I will but I would forget before I even got home.
When I find the flyer in my car months later.... guess where I'll file it. An email and a direct link will raise your ratings percentage quite a bit if these people open their emails.

You asked for an opinion and that's mine or at least I agree with tryinhere completely.

    Hey Tommy

    Clever idea.

Just make sure you run the spellchecker over it.

Found recieve - should be receive.

Also, perhaps a couple of images to help them do it as more than 50% of people are "visual".

    Regards

  • I like your comments. Yes it was a rough draft. I like the idea of the 'link' being on the customers website that goes to the actual place where they can leave a review.

Now if I am not wrong, for google reviews you have to have a gmail account. That is the review type I am looking for. They show up right at the 'google places' website listing.
Whereas Yelp.com and others are their own website, correct?

so, yes, it would be nice to capture their email address and then email them. But, usually most of my customers are return customers and they would have NO problem leaving me comments. If you look at most of the comments left, there isnt over 30 of them usually at the google places area per business. So, I do easily over 350+ customers per year , I should be able to get 30 reviews. Most of the time we have long conversations to build a relationship at my business when their car is being worked on. 30 reviews to the new person googling my business will be enough of how my business is viewed in the area.

Maybe there is a way to:

Put a testimonial page on my website,
where it is easy to leave comments
    then
make it a link that I can put up on Google Maps
in anchor text saying Business Reviews

    something to check into.
