Here's a Cool Offline Hint For You To Double Up Revenues Or Even More

I've never seen this mentioned anywhere, and I don't believe in the whole WSO thing, although I suppose I could have made money with this one, as this brings in tons of money for me.

It deals with Sub domains. Have any of you really played with subdomains on your clients? I mean really tapped into it?

See the cool thing about subdomains is that Google looks at them as entirely different websites. So that My.BestPlumberPortland.com is completely different than www.BestPlumberPortland.com.

Anyway, what I've been doing with my clients is developing different subdomains under their main domain.

So lets say my client is DansPlumbing.com and Dan is in Portland, OR. Once I've got him to #1, most people quit, but I just go after a second subdomain. So, I'll do Portland.DansPlumbing.com. I'll do a mirror image of the original site. Except the home page and a few secondary pages I'll put through The Best Spinner to where they are between 70-85% unique. If you're building deep links into secondary pages, then you can get some really interesting results.

You're a lot better off if you subdomain by service. For instance, I have a painter who is my client. So, we have his website. www.marcospainting.com(not the real name). And we have house.marcospainting.com, and externalpainting.marcospainting.com, and internalpainting.marcospainting.com. Because each of these "sites" delves a little deeper into the services he provides my belief is that he won't be penalized. And through smart on page optimization, good linking structure and a smart inbound linking campaign he's able to dominate his first page in a "natural" way.

Or alternatively you can subdomain by localities. So you might have SanDiego.MarcosPainting.com, LaJolla.MarcosPainting.com, etc. What you'll find is you get VERY interesting results when you do this. Especially since the caffeine update. In this example, I might be able to capture the #1 spot for La Jolla House Painter, and all of a sudden my main site will show up on the maps, even though my office is outside of the area of La Jolla. Lots of possibilities.

I've got one of my clients who has position 1- which is his Google Maps results. Then Position 2,3 and 4 are a subdomain, position 5 is Superpages, and position 6 and 7 are a different subdomain.

I've got another client who other than Superpages, and a Yahoo listing she completely dominates positions 1-22 albeit for a low competition but highly profitable campaign.

Of course you can do this with different websites, and I've done that, but sometimes clients are VERY attached to their own website. Plus even though theoretically Google considers subdomains completely different websites, my belief is there is still some bleed through from the main domain to the subs.

I don't believe in fair play, I believe in completely dominating my competition.

In a business sense how this works out is let's say you have a client who you signed for a contract for $1,000 a month for six months, and at the end you can give them this idea, and get another 6-12-18 months out of them.

If you've had clients who have gotten worse results after the Caffeine update, this is a way to dominate the search engines again.

Or even a new client, you tell them I can get you to the front page of Google for $1,000 a month, but if you're interested I can help you COMPLETELY dominate your competition by doing 3 subdomains at the same time so that we are completely dominating the first page. And instead of it being $4k a month, I can do it for $2,500 a month.

Obviously it helps if you've done it already for another client, but hopefully it gives some of you some ideas.

You can play with an easy niche to conquer just to prove it works, especially in a small city/town. You can check out how it works and what happens. I've taken small .info's I bought to experiment with and gone nuts with it in a small area like Tupelo, MS massage therapist or something else no one searches for.
